Grana Padano, originating from the regions of Parma and Reggio Emilia, is a pressed, grainy hard cheese. Grana Padano has a very small perforation and a brushed, oiled golden brown rind. To make 1 kg of Grana Padano, you need about 14 litres of milk. Grated, Grana Padano is particularly suitable for refining dishes such as pasta or risotto, to which it adds a spicy, tasty note.
