Preparation in the microwave:

  1. Place the frozen yeast dumpling in a microwave-safe bowl and wet with a tbsp. of water.
  2. Then cover and heat in the microwave at 600 watts for 2:00 to 2:20 minutes.
  3. Place the cooked yeast dumplings on a plate, sprinkle with the sugar and poppy seed mixture and pour over melted butter.

Preparation in a steamer or pot with steam insert (100C°)

  1. Place a greased steam insert in a saucepan and fill it with hot water up to the insert height.
  2. Bring the water to the boil, place the undefrosted yeast dumplings on the insert and steam, covered, for about 15-17 minutes. The lid must not be removed during this time.
  3. Pierce the cooked yeast dumplings while they are still in the pot, place them on a plate, sprinkle with the sugar and poppy seed mixture and pour melted butter over them.

 

  1. Bring about 2 litres of lightly salted water to the boil in a larger saucepan and place the yeast dumplings, unfrosted, flat side down.
  2. Cover with the lid and simmer over a low heat, not boiling, for approx. 16-18 minutes.
  3. Place the cooked yeast dumplings on a plate, prick them, sprinkle with the sugar and poppy seed mixture and pour melted butter over them.
