Belly pork with rind from the BIO Sonnenschwein
A well marbled piece from the Sonnenschwein, with rind, boneless. Perfect for grilling in slices, as a juicy roast with crispy rind or cooked as horseradish meat, it is considered a Styrian classic.
Due to the year-round outdoor Haltung, the pigs get thicker bristles, which can still be found on the rind in some cases. Please simply remove before roasting.
About the producer:
"Wallowing, rooting, galloping, or simply playing mother" - at the Hackl's, the focus is on the needs of the pigs, which are born on the farm and live contentedly on the extensive pastures.
A unique organic symbiosis results from the cooperation between the two pioneering farms PANNATURA on the Esterhazy organic estate in Burgenland and the organic farm Hackl in south-eastern Styria on the Styrian-Burgenland border, run by son Jakob in the second generation.
The feed for the Sonnenschweine comes from the Esterhazy organic estate, which has been farming organically for over 22 years and is one of the largest organic pilot farms in the country. In the midst of Europe's most valuable natural areas, embedded in the region around Lake Neusiedl, lie PANNATURA's organically farmed areas.
In their own factory, the Sonnenschweine are refined and processed further after a stress-free slaughter.
The meat factory is one of the most modern of its kind. In addition to organic pork, organic Angus cattle from suckler cow Haltung and local game from sustainable hunting are also processed here.
