About the producer:

"Wallowing, rooting, galloping, or simply playing mom" - at the Hackl's, the focus is on the needs of the pigs, who are born on the farm and live contentedly on the extensive pastures.

A unique organic symbiosis results from the cooperation between the two pioneering companies PANNATURA on the Esterhazy organic estate in Burgenland and the organic farm Hackl in south-eastern Styria on the Styrian-Burgenland border, which is run by son Jakob in the second generation.

The feed for the Sonnenschweine comes from the Esterhazy organic estate, which has been farming organically for over 22 years and is one of the largest organic pilot farms in the country. In the midst of the most valuable natural areas in Europe, embedded in the region around Lake Neusiedl, lie the organically farmed areas of PANNATURA.

In our own factory, the Sonnenschweine are refined and processed after a stress-free slaughter.

The meat factory is one of the most modern of its kind. In addition to organic pork, organic Angus cattle from suckler cow husbandry and local game from sustainable hunting are also processed here.
