Herbal medicinal product for the supportive treatment of mild urinary discomfort in men (such as frequent urge to urinate during the day or night, weakening of the urinary stream or post-dribbling of urine) due to benign enlargement of the prostate. The presence of a serious underlying disease as the cause of the symptoms must be ruled out by a doctor beforehand.

This medicine is used in adult men aged 18 years and over.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 weeks, contact your doctor.

What should you consider before taking it?

WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING PROSTAGUTT DUO?

Prostagutt duo must not be taken,

- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to saw palmetto fruit extract or nettle root extract or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.1.

This medicine contains hydrogenated soybean oil. It must not be taken if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to peanuts or soybeans.

Warnings and Precautions

Please talk to your pharmacist before taking Prostagutt duo capsules.
You must see your doctor immediately if the following occurs while using this product:

- if you see blood in your urine,

- if you get cramps or pain when urinating,

- if you have urinary retention (inability to completely empty your bladder).

This medicine only relieves the symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, but does not reverse the enlargement itself. You should therefore see a specialist for regular check-ups.

Children and adolescents

There is no area of application in children and adolescents.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or plan to take/use any other medicines.

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Men aged 18 years and over:

1 capsule twice a day.

Type of application

For oral use. The capsules are taken whole with a full glass of water in the morning and evening with or after meals to prevent premature dissolution of the capsule. Duration of use

An improvement can be expected after four weeks. If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 weeks, contact your doctor.

Children and adolescents

There is no area of application in children and adolescents.

If you have taken more Prostagutt duo than you should

No cases of overdose are known.

If you forget to take Prostagutt duo

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Do not store above 30 °C.

Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. You help to protect the environment.

What Prostagutt duo contains

1 capsule contains:

The active ingredients are:

160 mg extract from saw palmetto fruits (Sabalis serrulatae fructus), drug-extract ratio 10 -14.3:1, extraction agent: ethanol 90% (m/m) and

120 mg dry extract from nettle root (Urticae radix), drug-extract ratio 7.6 -12.5:1, extraction agent: ethanol 60% (m/m)

The other ingredients are:

Gelatin polysuccinate, glycerol, hard fat, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, hydrogenated soybean oil, patent blue V (E 131), iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide black (E 172).

Prostagutt duo capsules are oval, green soft capsules and sealed in PVC-aluminium blisters. Pack sizes: 60, 120 and 200 capsules. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
