The carrot is one of the oldest known vegetables. The original type of the well-known vegetable actually had a colour mixture of violet and orange (also available in Austria during the season!). Today it is usually available in orange, has a firm/crisp texture and a fresh, slightly sweet aroma.

The possible uses of the carrot are very versatile, and it can be found in every kitchen in the world.
