Collagen - important protein

Collagen is the quantitatively most important protein in our organism. It makes up the majority of most connective tissues and supporting tissues and determines their properties. It is a fiber component of bones, cartilage and tendons.
A collagen fiber has considerable tensile strength. For example, a load of 10 - 40 kg is required to tear a collagen fiber with a diameter of 1 mm.
The synthesis of collagen is dependent on vitamin C. Thus, vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal function of cartilage and bones.

Copper
The trace element copper contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissue.

Vitamin C and the trace elements selenium and copper help protect cells from oxidative stress.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D plays a role in maintaining normal bones and normal muscle function. It also supports the normal function of the immune system.
