Carinthian tradition meets Viennese craftsmanship
In the Kasnudl Stadtküche we produce food from organic and regional ingredients. Gentle handling of our resources, the people behind the raw materials and a fair price for our partners and customers are our top priorities.
There is a story behind every ingredient and even every potato has a name! In the original Carinthian Kasnudl, Michael from the Kasnudl is behind the curd cheese, Marion from the organic farm zum Grünen Baum brings the potatoes and we make the best dumplings in town in the Stadtküche.

You can only make such thin dough with craftsmanship, lots of practice and a portion of love.
TIP: Since our Kasnudl are always freshly made and packed, you can also freeze them at home at any time!
Preparation recommendation:
And it's that easy, you can't do anything wrong!
Our dumplings are always pre-cooked and therefore we simply have to be reheated for your enjoyment. Whether you do this in a pan and fry us crispy, put us in a water bath and let us steep or steam us is up to you. Here are some guidelines from us.
-In a saucepan without a steamer: let it steep for about 8 minutes in hot, lightly salted water. (Tip: never let the water boil)
-In a saucepan with a steamer: steam for about 8 minutes.
-In a steam cooker/combi steamer: steam at maximum power (100°C steam) for 8-10 minutes.
-In a pan: fry the Kasnudl with a little butter or vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown. Turn the Kasnudl frequently.
-In the microwave: moisten the Kasnudl with 2-4 tablespoons of water and heat at 600 watts for at least 2 minutes, depending on the number of pieces.
Important: After I land on the plate, you can best round off the taste by adding some melted butter or olive oil to me!
Tip: Our Kasnudl can also be prepared directly from the freezer. We recommend the first 3 preparation options here (of course you can still fry the Kasnudl afterwards) and a cooking time that is about 3-5 minutes longer.
