alcohol content, GastroMed Madaus Drops are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

So far, no interactions between GastroMed Madaus Drops and other medicines are known.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Since there is not enough documented data and because of the alcohol content, the use of GastroMed Madaus Drops is not recommended during pregnancy.
There is no data on the effect on fertility.

Driving and using machines
There is no data on the effects on driving and using machines.

GastroMed Madaus Drops contain alcohol
This medicinal product contains 0.27 mg of alcohol per dose.
There is a health risk for patients suffering from alcoholism.
The alcohol content should be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and patients with an increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

How should the medicine be taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or
pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage
The recommended dose is for
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 20 drops 3 times a day before or with meals
in a little liquid.

Duration of use
The duration of use depends on the type, severity and course of the complaints.
If the symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Type of use
For oral use.
Shake before use.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Use in children
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended (see section 2.)

If you have taken more GastroMed Madaus Drops than you should
No cases of overdose are known.

If you forget to take GastroMed Madaus Drops
Do not take twice the amount to make up for a forgotten dose, but continue taking as directed in this leaflet or
as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not store above 25 °C.
Store the bottle in the outer carton in order to protect the contents from light.
If GastroMed Madaus Drops show flocculation or turbidity, this has
no effect on the effectiveness of the product.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and the carton after "Exp." or "Use by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

After first opening the bottle, GastroMed Madaus Drops can be stored for 8 weeks.

Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist
how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. You help to protect the environment.

Angelica root (Angelicae radix), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	12.5 ml
Gentian root (Gentianae radix), DEV 1: 2.5-3.5	6.25 ml
Chamomile flowers (Matricariae flos), DEV 1:2-4	25.0 ml
Caraway (Carvi fructus), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	12.5 ml
Milk thistle fruits (Silybi mariani fructus), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	12.5 ml
Lemon balm leaves (Melissae folium), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	12.5 ml
Peppermint leaves (Menthae piperitae folium), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	6.25 ml
Liquorice root (Liquiritiae radix), DEV 1:2.5-3.5	12.5 ml

Extraction agent for all drugs: 30 V/V % ethanol
20 drops correspond to 1.1 ml of liquid.

Other component with known effect: Ethanol (total ethanol content 27.4 V/V %)

GastroMed Madaus Drops are a slightly cloudy, dark brown liquid (drops for oral use) with an aromatic odour. They are available in pack sizes of 20 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml.
