Lecicarbon is a laxative (CO2 - Laxans).
Application
1. WHAT IS LECICARBON AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Lecicarbon is a laxative (CO2 - Laxans). The suppositories produce carbonic acid after insertion into the rectum. This promotes blood circulation in the mucous membrane, stimulates bowel movement and increases the readiness for bowel movement. Carbonic acid produces carbon dioxide, a naturally occurring gas in the intestine, which is formed under natural conditions by the breakdown of carbohydrates and cellulose.
Areas of application:
For the treatment of constipation of the colon and rectum in adults and adolescents (12-18 years), e.g. in the case of a low-roughage diet or lack of exercise, as well as in diseases that require easier bowel movements.
For bowel evacuation during diagnostic or therapeutic measures in the rectal area.
