Tavipec is a herbal medicine to support specific measures for sinusitis or cough associated with a cold.
Tavipec capsules are used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.

Tavipec is a herbal medicine for the treatment of acute bronchitis and for the supportive treatment of sinusitis or cough associated with a cold.
If a high fever occurs, or if the symptoms do not improve after 7 days, a doctor must be consulted.
Tavipec capsules are used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
What should you consider before taking it?
What should you consider before taking Tavipec?
Tavipec must not be taken,
if you are allergic to spike lavender oil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tavipec.
If shortness of breath, fever, or purulent or bloody sputum occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Children:
Since there is insufficient data, use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.
Taking Tavipec with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or intend to take any other medicines.
No studies have been conducted to detect interactions.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since there is insufficient data, the use of this medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Driving and using machines
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.
Tavipec capsules contain yellow orange S (E 110), which can cause allergic reactions.
How to take the medicine?
How to take Tavipec?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 2 capsules 3 times a day.
Type of application:
For oral use. The capsules should be swallowed whole ½ hour before meals with sufficient liquid.
Duration of use:
- If a high fever occurs, or if the symptoms do not improve after 7 days, a doctor must be consulted.
Use in children:
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data.
If you have taken more Tavipec than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take Tavipec
Do not take twice the amount if you forget to take the previous dose.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What Tavipec contains
- The active ingredient is: Spike lavender oil (Spicae aetheroleum)
- The other ingredients are:
- Capsule shell: Gelatin, glycerol 85%, quinoline yellow (E-104), yellow orange (E-110),
- Capsule coating: methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, sodium dodecyl sulfate, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, glycerol monostearate.
