Traumeel® contains a combination of proven homeopathic active ingredients. It stimulates the healing of blunt injuries and is suitable for everyday and sports injuries such as bruises, sprains, dislocations, and hematomas.
Traumeel® also helps with degenerative symptoms of bones and joints. For chronic complaints of the musculoskeletal system such as degenerative and/or rheumatic joint diseases,
a combination of Traumeel® with Zeel® tablets and ointment is recommended.
Traumeel® is available in your pharmacy as an ointment, gel, drops, and tablets.
Homeopathy, to stimulate the body's own regulation.

How is it used?
What is Traumeel and what is it used for?
Traumeel is a homeopathic medicinal specialty. Homeopathy is understood as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic diseases.
Traumeel is a homeopathic combination drug that is composed of various individual homeopathic remedies whose drug profiles complement each other.
The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug profiles. The following areas of application are approved for this drug:
- blunt injuries such as sprains, dislocations, bruises, and hematomas
- degenerative symptoms of bones and joints.
The use of this homeopathic drug in the aforementioned areas of application is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.
Clinically proven therapy is indicated for severe forms of these diseases.
Traumeel is used in adults, adolescents, and children from 1 year of age.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
What should you consider before taking it?
What should you consider before using Traumeel?
Traumeel must not be used,
- if you are allergic to Arnica montana, Calendula officinalis, Hamamelis virginiana, Echinacea angustifolia, Echinacea purpurea, Matricaria recutita, Bellis perennis, Symphytum officinale, Hypericum perforatum, Achillea millefolium, Aconitum napellus, Atropa bella-donna, Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni, Hepar sulfuris or Arnica, Calendula (marigold),
Matricaria (chamomile) and Achillea millefolium (yarrow), other composite flowers or any of the other ingredients of this drug listed in section 6.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Traumeel.
May only be applied to intact skin.
Contact with eyes, mucous membranes, open wounds or skin injuries must be avoided.
If your general condition worsens, or if you have persistent, new, or unclear symptoms, you should see a doctor, as these may be medical conditions that require medical clarification.
When using homeopathic medicines, so-called initial reactions may occur. Such reactions generally subside rapidly on their own.
For fundamental reasons, long-term treatment with a homeopathic drug should be monitored by a doctor experienced in homeopathy.
Children
The use of Traumeel in children under 1 year of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data.
Use of Traumeel with other drugs
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used, or plan to take/use any other drugs.
No interactions with other drugs are known to date.
Use of Traumeel with food and drink
The effect of a homeopathic drug can be adversely affected by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxury foods.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
There is no evidence of a particular risk for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Caution should be exercised when using during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machinery
Traumeel has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Traumeel contains cetyl stearyl alcohol
Cetyl stearyl alcohol can cause localized skin irritation (e.g., contact dermatitis).
How should the drug be taken?
How to use Traumeel?
Always use this drug exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults, adolescents, and children from 1 year of age:
Apply Traumeel morning and evening, or several times a day if necessary, to the affected areas, possibly also as an ointment dressing.
When symptoms improve, the frequency of application should be reduced.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Use in children
The use of Traumeel in children under 1 year of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data.
If you have used more Traumeel than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported to date.
If you forget to use Traumeel
Do not use twice the amount if you forget to use it before.
If you have any further questions about the use of this drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
What side effects are possible?
How to store Traumeel?
Store in the original container.
Keep this drug out of the reach of children.
Do not use this drug after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and tube after "Use by". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
The shelf life is not limited by opening the container, provided that the container is closed immediately after proper dosing.
Do not dispose of drugs in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the drug when you are no longer using it. You help to protect the environment.
