Inotyol Ointment contains anti-inflammatory and healing active ingredients.
Application
1. WHAT IS INOTYOL OINTMENT AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Inotyol Ointment contains anti-inflammatory and healing active ingredients. Areas of application:
- Eczema: acute and chronic eczema (skin inflammation).
- Wounds, abrasions, cracks
- Minor burns (e.g. sunburn)
- Other skin irritations: redness, frostbite, cracks, open skin blisters,
- non-infected diaper rash. If no improvement occurs after 48 hours, a doctor should be contacted.
How is it used?

Inotyol Ointment contains anti-inflammatory and healing active ingredients. Areas of application:

What should you consider before taking it?
WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING INOTYOL OINTMENT?
Inotyol Ointment must not be used,
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Ichthammolum, Hamamelis fluid extract, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide or any of the other ingredients of Inotyol Ointment.
- for deep wounds, 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
Before using Inotyol Ointment, an infection (infestation with pathogens) of the wound must be ruled out. If Inotyol Ointment does not lead to any improvement, it must be checked whether an infection has occurred in the wound area in the meantime, which requires appropriate treatment.
When using Inotyol Ointment with other medicines
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using or have recently taken/used other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.
When other medicines are applied to the skin at the same time, their effect cannot be ruled out.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Pregnancy
So far, there is no evidence of risks when using Inotyol Ointment during pregnancy in humans.
Breast-feeding
The transfer of the active ingredients into breast milk has not yet been investigated.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any medicine.
Driving and using machines
No influence on the ability to drive and use machines is to be expected.
Important information about certain other ingredients of Inotyol OintmentLanolin can trigger localised skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
How should the medicine be taken?
HOW SHOULD INOTYOL OINTMENT BE USED?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, apply Inotyol Ointment once or twice a day, as thick as the back of a knife, and cover with a bandage. For skin damage in the folds of the groin, buttocks or under the breasts, apply the ointment to gauze strips and place them in the skin folds.
If you have used a larger amount of Inotyol Ointment than you should,no side effects are to be expected.
If you forget to use Inotyol Ointment
Do not use double the amount if you have forgotten the previous application.
If you have any further questions about the use of the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What Inotyol Ointment contains
- The active ingredients are: Ichthammolum, Hamamelis fluid extract, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide 100g ointment contains: 1g Ichthammolum, 1g Hamamelis fluid extract (DEV 1:1) Extraction agent: Ethanol 45% V/V, 15g zinc oxide, 5 g titanium dioxide
- The other ingredients are: liquid paraffin oil, lanolin, yellow petroleum jelly, lavender oil and purified water.
Inotyol Ointment is a light sand-coloured ointment, which is available in aluminium tubes of 25 g and 50 g.
