La Carmela San Marzano tomatoes are elongated tomatoes, also known as bottle tomatoes. They are characterized by a fruity aroma and an intense color. The real San Marzano tomato thrives exclusively in the Agro Sarnese Nocerino region, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.
They are ideal as a base for pasta sauces and are a must for making pizza.
The three brothers (Frateli D'Acunzi) initially worked in the small village shop that was left to them by their parents Pasquale and Raffaella. Vegetables and fruit were processed all year round. They subsequently dedicated themselves to the top-class processing of the famous San Marzano tomato.
