. What IS Engystol AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Engystol is a homeopathic combination medicine. Such medicinal products are composed of various individual homeopathic remedies whose drug pictures complement each other. Homeopathy is a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic diseases.
A potency chord is a mixture of different potencies of the same active substance. The individual potencies retain their independent effect, the spectrum of action of the potency chord is therefore broader and deeper than that of the respective individual potencies and lasts longer.
Application:
The application areas are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures. These include colds and flu-like infections.
The use of this homeopathic remedy in the above-mentioned indications is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.
In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

The following indications are approved for this medicinal product:

Engystol is used in adults, adolescents from 12 to 18 years and children from 4 weeks to 12 years.

What should you be aware of before taking Engystol?
Engystol must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to Vincetoxicum hirundinaria, sulphur or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Engystol.
If the general condition deteriorates, or if symptoms persist, are new or unclear, a doctor should be consulted, as these may be conditions that require medical attention.
Children
The use of Engystol is not recommended for children under 4 weeks of age, as
sufficient data are not available.
When homeopathic medicines are used, so-called first reactions may occur. Such reactions generally subside rapidly by themselves.
As a matter of principle, prolonged treatment with a homeopathic medicine should be controlled by a doctor experienced in homeopathy.
Taking Engystol with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicinal products have been reported so far.
Taking Engystol with food and drink
The effect of a homeopathic medicinal product may be adversely affected by generally harmful lifestyle factors and by stimulants and stimulants.

How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Engystol?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults 18 years and over: 1 tablet 3 times a day
For acute symptoms: every 1 - 2 hours max. 8 times daily1 tablet
Use in children and adolescents
Children from 4 weeks - 23 months: 1 tablet daily
Children from 2 - 6 years: 1 - 2 times daily 1 tablet
Children from 6 - 12 years: 2 times daily 1 tablet
Adolescents from 12 years: 3 times daily 1 tablet
For acute symptoms
Children from 4 weeks - 23 months: every 1-2 hours max. 4 times daily 1 tablet
Children from 2 - 6 years: every 1 - 2 hours max. 6 times daily 1 tablet
Children from 6 - 12 years: every 1 - 2 hours max. 8 times daily 1 tablet
Adolescents from 12 years: every 1 - 2 hours max. 8 times daily 1 tablet
On improvement of symptoms, reduce the frequency of use.
Use in children under 4 weeks
The use of Engystol in children under 4 weeks of age is not recommended as insufficient data are available.
To take
Dissolve the tablets slowly under the tongue. Take before meals.
For children under 6 years, crush the tablets with a spoon and dissolve in about 50 ml of water. Stir until the tablet is dissolved.
If you have taken a larger amount of Engystol than you shouldNo cases of overdose have been reported so far.
If you have forgotten to take Engystol
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

1 tablet contains:
- The active ingredients are: Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D6 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D10 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D30 75 mg, Sulfur D4 37.5 mg, Sulfur D10 37.5 mg.
- The other ingredients are: 300 mg lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate

Engystol are white to yellow-white, round, facetted tablets on both sides available in tablet containers with a plastic stopper.
