Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint belongs to the group of medicines called "reflux suppressants", which act as a protective layer over the contents of the stomach for up to 4 hours, preventing stomach acid from rising from the stomach into the oesophagus and causing pain and discomfort.
This medicinal product is used for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux complaints such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (due to reflux) e.g. after meals or during pregnancy or in patients with complaints associated with oesophagitis due to reflux.For example, after meals or during pregnancy or in patients with complaints associated with oesophagitis due to reflux.

Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint must not be taken
-if you are allergic to sodium alginate, sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium carbonate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. In rare cases, breathing difficulties and skin rashes have occurred.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint.
10 ml suspension (1 sachet) contains 6.2 mmol (141 mg) sodium and 1.6 mmol (64 mg) calcium . If you have to follow a low-salt diet, please take this into account.

- if you have to follow a low-salt or low-calcium diet.
- regarding these ingredients if you suffer or have suffered from kidney or heart disease, as certain salts may affect these conditions.

There should be at least 2 hours between taking Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint and other medicines taken orally, as Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint may affect the action of other medicines.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or intend to use any other medicines.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you can take this medicine.
Driving and ability to operate machinery
Gaviscon has no or negligible effect on driving and ability to operate machinery.
Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint contains methyl - (E218) and propyl - (E216) (4-hydroxybenzoate) which may cause allergic reactions, including delayed reactions.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
To take.
Adults, including elderly patients, and children 12 years and over: 1- 2 sachets after meals and at bedtime or as recommended by a doctor or pharmacist (up to 4 times a day).
Use in children under 12 years of age: Must only be taken on the advice of a doctor.
If you have taken a larger amount of Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint than youshould
If you have taken too much Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint, it is unlikely to harm you. However, you may feel bloated. If this feeling persists, ask your doctor for advice.
If you forget to take Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before. Continue taking the medicine as before.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the sachet and outer carton after "EXP:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Do not store above 25°C and keep in the original packaging.
Do not store in the refrigerator or freeze.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint contains< /strong>

- 10 ml oral suspension, the contents of one sachet, contain 500 mg sodium alginate, 267 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate and 160 mg calcium carbonate as active ingredients.
- The other ingredients are carbomer, methyl - (E218) and propyl - (E216) (4-hydroxybenzoate), saccharin sodium, sodium hydroxide, natural mint flavour and purified water.
- This medicine is free from sugar and colourings.

Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint is a cream-coloured liquid with a mint taste and smell.
Gaviscon Liquid Sachets Mint is available in pack sizes of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 or 36 sachets.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
