Esberitox® tablets are a herbal medicinal product for the supportive treatment of colds and for the prevention of frequently recurring colds.
This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children from 4 years of age.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 10 days, consult your doctor.
What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What should you be aware of before taking Esberitox® tablets?
Esberitox® - tablets must not be taken,
- if any of the following conditions are present or being treated:
| progressive systemic diseases (such as tuberculosis, sarcoidosis), |
| Diseases in which the immune system turns against its own |
Body directed (autoimmune diseases such as collagenoses, multiple | |
Sclerosis), | |
| acquired immune deficiencies (such as AIDS diseases, HIV- |
Infections), | |
| Treatments that suppress the immune defence (such as after |
Transplantation or chemotherapy for cancer), | |
| Diseases of the white blood cells (such as leukaemia, |
Agranulocytosis). |
Warnings and precautions.
Please talk to your pharmacist before taking Esberitox® tablets.
If shortness of breath, fever, purulent or bloody mucus occurs when coughing, consult a doctor.
In allergic patients there may be an increased risk of allergic shock. Ask your doctor first if you are allowed to take Esberitox® tablets.
Children
Since there is insufficient data, use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended.
Taking Esberitox ® Tablets taken with other medicines.
No studies have been conducted to detect interactions.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
Taking Esberitox ® Tablets together with food, Drinks and alcohol.
No special precautions are necessary.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since there are insufficient data, the use during pregnancy and lactation cannot be recommended.
Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
No studies have been carried out on the effect on the ability to drive or operate machinery. However, the occurrence of side effects as described for medicinal products containing preparations of echinacea (dizziness, drop in blood pressure) may alter the ability to react and the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery may be impaired.
Esberitox ® -Tablets contain lactose and sucrose.
Please therefore only take this medicine after consulting your doctor or pharmacist if you are known to suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Esberitox® tablets?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is
adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 3 tablets 3 times daily
Use in children and adolescents
Children 7-11 years: 2 tablets 3 times daily
Children 4-6 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily
Children under 4 years of age:
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended as insufficient data are available.
Type of application
To be taken
In the morning, at noon and in the evening with some liquid or let it dissolve in the mouth.
Treatment should be started at the first signs of a cold.
Duration of use
If you do not feel better or even worse after 10 days, contact your doctor. Esberitox® tablets must not be taken for longer than 8 weeks without interruption.
If you have taken a larger amount of Esberitox®.tablets than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take Esberitox® Tablets
.Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before, but continue to take it as stated in this leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor.
If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not store above 30°C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after "EXP" or "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Do not dispose of medicinal products in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

Do not store above 30 °C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it.

The active ingredients are:
1 tablet contains
3.2 mg dry extract (drug extract ratio (DEV) 4-9:1) from a mixture of dyer bean rhizome (Baptisiae rhizoma), purple coneflower root (Echinaceae purpureae radix), pale coneflower root (Echinaceae pallidae radix) and arborvitae tips and leaves (Thujae occidentalis herba) in a ratio of 4.92:1,85:1,85:1.
Extractant: ethanol 30% (V/V)
The other ingredients are:
Aqueous lactose, magnesium stearate, macrogol, sucrose
