How are nail fungus infections treated with Excilor® FORTE?
The most important component of toenails and fingernails is keratin. This is a hard and dense substance that
most antifungal products cannot penetrate. In most cases, the fungi grow below
the nail, which makes them difficult to treat. Excilor® FORTE controls the microenvironment of the nail
through a so-called "acidification process" of the nail bed. Excilor® FORTE contains acidic substances,
which can penetrate the nail and allow treatment from the inside out. It usually takes
a few months for an affected nail to look completely healthy again. A toenail grows by an average of 1.5 mm in one
month. Excilor® FORTE immediately lowers the pH of the nail, creating a
less favourable environment for the spread of nail fungus. However, the damaged nail needs time to
grow out. The efficacy of Excilor® FORTE has been proven in clinical studies.

 

Application

Clean the affected nail and remove any existing nail polish before applying Excilor® FORTE. Use the brush to cover the entire nail surface. Make sure you apply Excilor® FORTE generously once a day. Let the nail dry (3 to 5 minutes) before putting on socks and/or shoes. After 24 hours, the film layer must be removed. This is done simply by starting to peel off the film layer on the side of the nail. Peel the entire film layer off the nail.
