ABC Heat Patch is used externally to relieve muscle pain, such as lower back pain.

ABC Heat Patch is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.

ABC Heat Patch is used for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.

ABC Heat Patch is used externally to relieve muscle pain, e.g. lower back pain. For example, lower back pain.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before using ABC Heat Patch?

ABC Heat Patch must not be used,
- if you are allergic to cayenne pepper, capsaicinoids of other origin (e.g.. capsicum) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
- on damaged skin, wounds and eczema.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ABC Heat Patches:
- in more severe cases where accompanying symptoms such as redness, swelling or overheating of joints occur,
- for persistent joint discomfort or
- in severe back pain, which is associated with nerve discomfort (e.g. numbness or kinesthesia).

Nervous pain associated with nerve pain (e.g. numbness or tingling) and/or radiating to the legs.

Please also note the following:
- Do not apply the patch in near the eyes, mouth, tongue or lips.
- It is recommended not to scratch in the area of application to avoid skin injury (See also: "ABC Heat Patch must not be used").

- Avoid applying additional heat during treatment. . Discontinue use if the warming effect is felt to be too strong.

Children
This medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is insufficient experience.

Use of ABC Heat Patch with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.
- The patch should not be used at the same time as other medicines applied to the same area [e.g. other heat products (which stimulate blood flow and thus
lead to redness of the skin) or pain-relieving gels].
- Interactions with other products used in the same area of application may also occur up to 12 hours after removal of the patch.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
The active ingredient of the patch (cayenne pepper thick extract) may pass into breast milk.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
There is no reason to believe that the use of ABC Heat Patch will affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

ABC Heat Patch contains lanolin
This medicinal product contains lanolin. Lanolin may cause localised
skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis)

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use ABC Heat Patch?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage
A maximum of 1 patch per day should be used.

Type of application
The patch should only be used on dry, uninjured skin.
Pull off the backing paper and apply the patch with the adhesive side over the painful area on the skin.
The patch should remain on the skin for at least 4 and up to 12 hours.
To remove the patch, lift one corner and gently pull it off. After contact
with the patch, wash hands with soap and water.
Residue remaining on the skin after removal of the patch can be removed with vegetable oil,
a moisturiser or cold water.
Wait at least 12 hours before applying a new patch to the same area.

Treatment duration
Treatment should be continued until pain relief is achieved, up to 3 weeks if necessary.
If symptoms persist, please consult a doctor.

What are the possible side effects?

After removal, the patch should be disposed of in a well-closed plastic bag with household waste. Wash hands with soap and water after contact with the patch. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, tongue or lips.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack after Expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Do not store above 25°C.

Use within 3 months after opening the package.

What ABC Heat Patch contains

- The active ingredient is: Thick extract of cayenne pepper.
One patch contains 395.4 - 551.7 mg thick extract of cayenne pepper (4 - 7:1) corresponding to 11.0 mg capsaicinoids, calculated as capsaicin. Extractant: ethanol 80 % (V/V)
- The other ingredients are:
Glucose syrup, 2,2'-methylene-bis-(6-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenol), 2,2'-(propane-1,2-diyldiiminodimethyl) diphenol, iris root powder/rice flour mixture, rubber, poly(butadiene-block-styrene) (76.5:23.5), cis-1,4-polyisoprene, talc, beta-pinene, copolymer of 2-methylbut-2-ene and piperylene, hydrogenated rosin glycerol ester, thin paraffin wax, lanolin, elastic flannel (plaster backing) and paper siliconised on one side (backing paper).

What ABC Heat Patch looks like and contents of the pack

ABC Heat Patch is a rectangular perforated plaster (14 cm x 22 cm) on an elastic flannel plaster backing.
It is available in a pack containing 1 or 2 active patches.

Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
