Ambroxol hydrochloride, the active substance in Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice, loosens congested and tenaciously adhering secretions from the bronchial wall and makes it easier to cough them up.
Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice is used together with plenty of liquid for the expectorant treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What should you know before taking Mucosolvan?
Mucosolvan must not be taken,
- If you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6, .
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Mucosolvan,
- if you suffer from severe kidney or liver dysfunction.
There have been reports of severe skin reactions associated with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride. If you develop a skin rash (including mucous membrane damage in the mouth, throat, nose, eyes and genital area), please stop using
Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice and seek medical advice immediately.
Taking Mucosolvan with other medicines.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
No significant interactions are known.
In laboratory tests, the simultaneous administration of ambroxol hydrochloride, the active ingredient of Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice and certain medicines against infections (the antibiotics amoxicillin, cefuroxime, doxycycline and erythromycin) leads to a higher antibiotic concentration in the bronchial mucus and sputum.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

The use of Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice during pregnancy, especially during the first 3 months, is not recommended.
Ambroxol hydrochloride passes into breast milk. The intake of Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice is therefore not recommended during breast-feeding.
Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
According to post-marketing data, there is no evidence of an effect on the ability to drive and use machinery. No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Mucosolvan?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and
For the first 2-3 days of treatment, take 5 ml 3 times a day, then adolescents over 12 years 3 times a day:
2.5 ml. In severe cases, the treatment regimen of 5 ml 3 x daily may be maintained after consultation with the doctor.
Children from 6 to
2-3 x daily 2.5 ml
12 years:
Children from 2 to 6 years: 3 x daily 1.25 ml
Infants up to 2 years: 2 x daily 1.25 ml
Children
Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - Juice must not be given to infants under 2 years of age unless directed by a doctor.
Use the enclosed measuring cup with graduations for 1.25, 2.5 and 5 ml for measuring. You can take Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - Juice independently of meals.
Patients with impaired kidney and/or liver function
If your kidney function is severely impaired or your liver function is severely impaired, you must consult your doctor before taking this medicine, as your doctor may reduce the dose accordingly or increase the interval between doses.
Duration of use
If your condition worsens or does not improve after 4-5 days, you should consult a doctor.
Note
The expectorant effect of Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - juice is supported by plenty of fluid intake.
If you have taken a larger amount of Mucosolvan than you should
Based on reports of accidental overdose and/or incorrect intake, the observed complaints are consistent with the known side effects at recommended dosage.
If an overdose with Mucosolvan 30 mg / 5 ml - Juice is suspected, a doctor should be contacted immediately.

If you forget to take Mucosolvan
Continue taking it at the next time. Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

Store in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and on the carton after "use by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Usable for 6 months after opening.
Do not dispose of medicinal products in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Mucosolvan contains
- The active substance is: ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml juice contains 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: Sucralose, benzoic acid, hydroxyethyl cellulose, strawberry cream flavouring, vanilla flavouring, purified water .
Solution for oral use
Clear to almost clear, colourless to almost colourless, slightly viscous juice with a fruity smell.
Brown glass bottles with child-resistant polyethylene cap of 100 and 200 ml. A measuring cup made of polypropylene with graduations for 1.25, 2.5 and 5 ml is included.
