Tussamag Cough Syrup Sugar-Free must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to thyme, other members of the mint family (Lamiaceae) or any of the other ingredients of Tussamag Cough Syrup Sugar-Free.

Warnings and precautions
As there is insufficient data, the use in children under 4 years of age cannot be recommended. Medical advice should be sought for children under 4 years of age.

If shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum occurs, a doctor must be consulted.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

Driving and ability to operate machinery

Tussamag Cough Syrup Sugar Free contains alcohol and sorbitol.
Tussamag Cough Syrup Sugar Free contains 4 % alcohol by volume.% alcohol.
When the dosage instructions are followed, up to 0.37 g of alcohol (equivalent to 9.3 ml of beer or 3.8 ml of wine) is supplied with each intake in children aged 4-12 years and up to 1.48 g of alcohol (equivalent to 37 ml of beer or 15.3 ml of wine) in adolescents aged 12 years and over
and adults. There is a health risk, among others, for liver patients, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic diseases of the brain, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. The effect of other medicines may be impaired or increased.

This medicinal product contains sorbitol. Please only take Tussamag sugar-free cough syrup after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.
25 ml of liquid contains 7.55 g sorbitol (equivalent to 1.89 g fructose) corresponding to approx. 0.63 bread units (BE).
The calorie value is 2.6 kcal/g sorbitol.
Sorbitol may have a mild laxative effect.

How should the medicine be taken?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years:up to 4 times daily 15-40 ml
Children from 4 to 12 years: 3-5 times daily 5-10 ml

An appropriately marked measuring cup is included.

Due to insufficient data, use in children under 4 years of age cannot be recommended.

The active substance is thyme fluid extract.The active substance is thyme fluid extract
100 g (corresponding to 85.47 ml) of liquid contain 9.02 g fluid extract of thyme herb (DEV 1:2-2.5), extractants: ammonia solution 10 % (m/m), glycerol 85 %, ethanol 90 % (V/V), water (1:20:70:109).

The other ingredients are:
potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate, ammonium sulphite sugar couleur E 150d, glycerol 85 %, sorbitol solution
70 % (non-crystallising), purified water.

Tussamag sugar-free cough syrup is a clear, dark brown liquid with a characteristic odour of thyme.

Tussamag sugar-free cough syrup is available in amber glass bottles with a white plastic screw cap containing 150 ml.
