Antistax 360 mg - film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product containing a dry extract of red vine leaves.
Application
1. What is Antistax and what is it used for?
Antistax 360 mg - Film-Coated Tablets is a herbal medicinal product containing a dry extract of red vine leaves.
The flavonoids extracted from vine leaves improve blood circulation in the area of very small blood vessels in patients with mild forms of chronic venous insufficiency.
Adult indications:
Mild forms of chronic venous insufficiency (e.g. swelling of the legs, varicose veins, heaviness, pain, fatigue, itching and tightness).
If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Adult indications:
- Mild forms of chronic venous insufficiency (e.g. swelling of the legs,
varicose veins, feeling of heaviness, pain, fatigue, itching and tightness).
What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What should you be aware of before taking Antistax?
Antistax must not be taken,
- If you are allergic to dry extract of red vine leaves or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product listed in section 6. .
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Antistax,
- If you experience sudden swelling, redness, tightness, heat or pain, especially if only one leg is affected, please consult your doctor immediately.
Since no sufficient data are available, the use in children and adolescents under the age of
18 years of age are not recommended.
Taking Antistax with other medicines.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
No studies have been conducted to detect interactions.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

As there is no experience of use in pregnant women and no data on the transfer of the active substance into breast milk, it is not recommended to take Antistax 360 mg - Film-Coated Tablets during this time.
Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
No studies have been carried out on the effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Antistax?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage for adults:
The recommended dose is: 1 x daily 1 film-coated tablet in the morning (equivalent to 360 mg).
If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2 film-coated tablets (720 mg) 1 x daily.
Use in children and adolescents
As there are insufficient data, use in children and adolescents under
18 years of age cannot be recommended.
Type and duration of use
Take Antistax 360 mg - Film-Coated Tablets whole with plenty of liquid before a meal.
As there is no experience of long-term treatment, you should not take Antistax 360 mg - Film-Coated Tablets for longer than 3 months.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 weeks, contact your doctor.
Special patient groups
Older persons (65 years and over)
The same dosage recommendations apply to older persons.
If you have taken a larger amount of Antistax than you should
In 2 cases, after taking 100 capsules of 180 mg each over four days or. If you forget to take Antistax
Continue taking the medicine at the next available opportunity. Do not take twice the amount
if you have forgotten to take it before.
If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
What are the possible side effects?
How to store Antistax?
Do not store above 30 ºC.
Store in the original packaging to protect the contents from moisture. Remove the film-coated tablets from the blister pack immediately before use.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton as "EXP" and on the blister strip as "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Antistax contains
- The active substance is: 1 film-coated tablet contains 360 mg dry extract of red vine leaves (Vitis viniferae folium), drug-extract ratio 4-6:1, extractant water .
- The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, anhydrous
calcium hydrogen phosphate, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, crospovidone, magnesium stearate Tablet coating: hypromellose, glyceryl tristearate, talc, colourants: titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide red (E172)
Reddish-brown, elongated, outwardly curved film-coated tablets on both sides without a breakage groove
Transparent PVC/PVDC/aluminium blister pack, packs of 30, 60 and 90 film-coated tablets.
