What should you be aware of before using Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray?
Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray must not be used,

• If you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. Even if an allergic reaction to Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray is suspected, it is essential to avoid using it again.

Have recently taken/used or intend to take/use other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.

No interactions are known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding after consulting a doctor.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
No special precautions are needed.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and children aged 6 years and over give 1 spray puff into each nostril up to 4 times a day.
The daily dose may be increased if necessary, the frequency of use should not exceed 1 spray puff of Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray into each nostril 6 times daily.
Once the therapeutic effect has been achieved, the frequency of use can be reduced as long as freedom from symptoms is maintained.
Insert the spray opening of the fine dispenser into the nostril and
press the spray mechanism firmly once.

You should continue treatment with Allergo-COMOD® nasal spray even after the symptoms have subsided as long as you are exposed to the allergising substances (house dust,
fungal spores, pollen, etc.).

Please adhere to the instructions for use, otherwise Allergo-COMOD® nasal spray cannot work properly!

Handle spray bottle according to sketch and operate spray mechanism until a fine fog
emerges. Then insert cannula (2) into one nostril
at a time and produce a spray.


To prevent crystallisation of the solution in the
pump mechanism< to prevent this, the protective cover should be replaced after each
application.

If you have used a larger amount of Allergo-COMOD®. Nasal Spray than you should
Symptoms of poisoning have not yet been reported for sodium cromoglicate.

If you have forgottento use Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray
Do not use twice the amount if you have forgotten to use it before.

If you stop using Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray<

If you stop using Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray, your symptoms may get worse again or recur.
You should continue treatment with Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray after your symptoms have subsided for as long as you are exposed to the allergenic substances (house dust, fungal spores, pollen, etc.).

If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

How should Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray be stored?

Do not store above 25°C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month stated.
Please use Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray within 12 weeks of first use.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray contains

The active ingredient is: Sodium cromoglicate
1 spray 0.14 ml contains 2.8 mg sodium cromoglycate
The other ingredients are:
Sodium edetate x2 H2O, sorbitol, water for injections

Note: Allergo-COMOD® Nasal Spray does not contain preservatives
