What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before using Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops ?
Allergo-COMOD® eye drops must not be used
if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. Even if an allergic reaction to Allergo-COMOD® eye drops is suspected, avoid using them again at all costs.

Special care is required when using Allergo-COMOD® eye drops:
If you are a contact lens wearer, please note the following: In the case of inflammation, including allergic conjunctivitis, the ophthalmologist must determine whether contact lenses may be worn despite the symptoms. If wearing contact lenses is permitted, note the following: Remove contact lenses before dripping and do not reinsert them until 15 minutes after dripping.
If you also use other eye drops or eye ointment in addition, you should keep a time interval of 15 minutes between the applications of the individual preparations. If the symptoms persist or if the expected success of the application does not occur, a medical consultation is required as soon as possible.

Use Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or intend to use any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

There are no known interactions.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Allergo-COMOD® eye drops should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding after consulting a doctor.

Do not drive or use machinery
No special precautions are necessary.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Allergo-COMOD® eye drops?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose is: Adults and children (6 years and older) drop 1 drop of Allergo-COMOD® eye drops into each eye 4 times a day. If the efficacy is insufficient, the daily dose can be increased by increasing the frequency of application to 6 times daily 1 drops or doubled to a maximum of 8 times 1 drops.

Please follow the instructions for use, otherwise Allergo-COMOD® eye drops may not work properly.

Allergo-COMOD® eye drops should always be used in such a way that contact of the dropper tip with the eye or facial skin is avoided.

After the symptoms have subsided, you should continue treatment with Allergo-
COMOD® eye drops for as long as you are exposed to the allergising
substances (house dust, fungal spores, pollen, etc.).

If you want to use Allergo-COMOD® eye drops for a longer period of time, you should have your doctor determine the necessity of the treatment.

Please talk to your doctor if you have the impression that the effect of Allergo-COMOD® eye drops is too strong or too weak.

If you have useda larger amount of Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops than you should
Symptoms of poisoning have not yet been reported for sodium cromoglicate.

If you forget to use Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops
Do not use twice the amount if you have forgotten to use it before.

If you stop using Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops

If you stop using Allergo-COMOD® eye drops, your symptoms may get worse again or recur.
You should continue treatment with Allergo-COMOD® eye drops after your symptoms have subsided for as long as you are exposed to the allergenic substances (house dust, fungal spores, pollen, etc.).

If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not store above 25°C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the container. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Please use Allergo-COMOD® eye drops within 12 weeks of first use.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Allergo-COMOD® eye drops contain
The active substance is sodium cromoglicate 20 mg/ml.
The other ingredients are sodium edetate x 2 H2O, sorbitol, water for injections
1 ml = 30 drops

Note: Allergo-COMOD® eye drops do not contain a preservative.

What Allergo-COMOD® Eye Drops look like and contents of the packAllergo-COMOD® Eye Drops is a clear, colourless to slightly yellow coloured solution packed in a multi-dose container with a gas-free pump system. Each pack contains 1 container of 10 ml solution.
