1 What is Weleda Cough Syrup and what is it used for?
Anthroposophic traditional herbal medicinal product for the relief of coughing and irritation caused by a cold.
This medicinal product is an anthroposophical, traditional herbal medicinal product registered exclusively on the basis of long-standing use in the above-mentioned field of application.
In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.
This medicinal product is used in adults, adolescents and children from the age of 1 year.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 2-5 days, consult your doctor.

What is Weleda Cough Syrup and what is it used for?

This medicinal product is an anthroposophical, traditional herbal medicinal product registered exclusively on the basis of long-standing use for the stated indication.

What should you be aware of before taking Cough Syrup Weleda?
Cough Syrup Weleda must not be taken
- if you are allergic to aniseed and anethole, thyme or other labiates (lamiaceae), birch, mugwort, celery or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6.1.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Cough Syrup Weleda

If you have difficulty breathing, fever or purulent sputum, you must consult a doctor.
Children
Cough Syrup Weleda should not be used in children under 1 year of age as there is insufficient documented experience.

Taking Cough Syrup Weleda togetherwith other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using any other medicines, have recently used any other medicines, or are thinking of using any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicines have been reported so far.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since insufficient data are available and due to the ingredient Solanum dulcamara (bittersweet stem), use during pregnancy and breast-feeding cannot be recommended.
Trafficability and ability to operate machinery
No relevant studies have been conducted on the effect on the ability to drive a vehicle or operate machinery.
Weleda Cough Syrup contains sugar and alcohol
This medicinal product contains sugar (sucrose). Please only take Cough Syrup Weleda after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from a sugar intolerance.
Note for diabetics: 5 ml of syrup contains 0.35 BE.
This medicinal product contains a small amount of alcohol, less than 100 mg per 5 ml.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Cough Syrup Weleda?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years:
4-5 x daily 5 ml
Children 6-12 years:
3-4 x daily 5 ml
Children 3-5 years:
3 x daily 2.5 ml
Infants 1-2 years:
3 x daily 1.25 ml
To take. The syrup can be taken undiluted or with a little water or tea. A graduated measuring cup is included for dosage.
Use in children
Cough in children under 2 years of age should be checked by a doctor. Therefore, Cough Syrup
Should not be used in children under 1 year of age, as there is insufficient documented experience.

If you have taken a larger amount of Cough Syrup Weleda than youshould
No cases of overdose have been reported so far.
If you forget to take Cough Syrup Weleda
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.
If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
What are the possible side effects?
How to store Cough Syrup Weleda?
No special storage conditions are required for the unopened medicinal product.
Store the bottle in the refrigerator (2-8°C) after opening for the first time.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and folding box after (Expiry date:). The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Use up bottle within 2 weeks after first opening.

The active ingredients are: 100 g (=76 ml) contain:
30 g liquid extract (DEV: 1:6-7) from a mixture of stem parts of bittersweet nightshade (Dulcamarae stipites), horehound (Marrubii herba), anise (Anisi fructus), thyme (Serpylli herba) and thyme (Thymi herba) in the ratio 1/2.33/3.33/2.33/19, extractant: water
0.1 g liquid extract of ipecac root (Ipecacuanhae radix) (DEV: 1:9-10), extractant: ethanol 62 % (m/m)
0.002 g liquid extract of the fresh whole plant of sundew (Drosera, planta tota) (DEV: 1:1-2), extract: ethanol 86 % (m/m)
0.00003 g liquid extract of the fresh whole plant of the pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris, planta tota) (DEV 1:2-3), extract: ethanol 86 % (m/m)
The other ingredients are: Malt extract, aqueous liquid extract of
mallow root (Althaeae radix), sucrose (sugar), ethanol, purified water
