WICK VapoRub Ointment is a herbal medicine for external use in colds of the upper respiratory tract, such as colds, hoarseness and coughs.

WICK VapoRub Ointment is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 2 years and over.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before using Wick VapoRub Ointment ?

WICK VapoRub Ointment must not be used
- if you are allergic to levomenthol, camphor, eucalyptus oil, turpentine oil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract. Inhalation of WICK VapoRub Ointment may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.
- in babies and small children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngospasm).

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using WICK VapoRub.
Use externally only. Do not swallow! Do not use on the face. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Thorough cleaning of the hands is required after application of the ointment.
Avoid application to mucous membranes, previously damaged or inflamed skin, open wounds, burns or in skin and children's diseases with skin rash (exanthema).
Do not apply ointment as a tight bandage and do not use together with heat pads or any other type of heat.
If shortness of breath or purulent/bloody cough or nasal mucus occurs, contact a doctor.
Children and adolescents:
Do not use this medicine on infants and children under 2 years of age (see section "WICK VapoRub Ointment must not be used").

Use of WICK VapoRub Ointment with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.

No interactions are known so far. No studies have been carried out to detect interactions.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Due to insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.
WICK VapoRub must not be used around the breast of the nursing mother
during breast-feeding, as the risk of laryngospasm in the baby during drinking cannot be excluded.

Trafficability and ability to operate machinery
No studies have been conducted on the effects on trafficability and the ability to operate machinery.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Wick VapoRub Ointment?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents: A 2 to 3 teaspoon-sized amount 2-4 times daily
Children aged two years and over: ½ - 1 teaspoon-sized amount 2-4 times daily

Method of use
Apply externally only. Apply to chest, neck and back and rub in gently massaging.
After applying the ointment, thoroughly clean your hands.

Duration of use
If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, contact your doctor.

Use in infants and children under 2 years of age
Do not use this medicine in infants and children under 2 years of age because of the risk of laryngospasm.

If you have used more than you should
An overdose may cause skin reactions.

In case of misapplication (failure to follow the instructions for use or dosage), remove the
ointment with paper towels soaked in cooking oil or baby oil wipes. If any discomfort occurs as a result of misuse, contact a doctor immediately.
If a child accidentally swallows WICK VapoRub Ointment, it is important to see a
doctor immediately who can administer the necessary treatment. Do not try to induce vomiting.

What WICK VapoRub Ointment contains
The active ingredients are:
100 g WICK VapoRub Ointment contain: 2.75 g levomenthol, 5.0 g camphor (racemic), 1.5 g eucalyptus oil (Eucalypti aetheroleum), 5.0 g beach pine type turpentine oil.

The other ingredients are: Thymol, juniper wood essential oil, white vaseline.What WICK VapoRub Ointment looks like and contents of the pack
