Dr. Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg Capsules are a herbal medicinal product containing the active complex of milk thistle fruits. Silymarin, which is held responsible for the efficacy, impedes the absorption of liver-damaging substances into the liver cells and promotes the regenerative capacity of the liver tissue.

Applications
Dr. Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg Capsules are a herbal medicinal product for the supportive treatment of liver complaints and for improving liver function.

The drug therapy does not replace the avoidance of the causes that damage the liver (e.g. alcohol).

If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 weeks, consult your doctor.

The therapeutic efficacy of extracts from milk thistle fruits is based on the silymarin they contain. Liver toxins cannot penetrate into the cell interior, ribosomal protein synthesis is increased and lipid peroxidation is inhibited. This supports normalisation of liver values.

Herbal medicinal product for improving liver function, as a supportive treatment for complaints caused by liver dysfunction.
Medicinal therapy is not a substitute for avoiding causes that damage the liver (e.g. alcohol).

This medicine is used in adults aged 18 years and over.

Dr. Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg must not be taken,
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to milk thistle fruits, other representatives of the daisy family (e.g. arnica, chrysanthemum), or if you have any other allergies.Arnica, chrysanthemum) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Dr Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg.

If jaundice occurs (light to dark yellow discolouration of the skin, yellowing of the whites of the eyes), a doctor should be consulted.

For the success of treatment, it is absolutely essential that liver-damaging causes, especially alcohol, are strictly avoided.

Children and adolescents
Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended due to lack of
data.

Take Dr Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg with other medicinesInform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using, have recently taken / used or might take / use any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Since there are insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
No studies have been conducted on the effects on driving and ability to operate machinery.

Dr. Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg contain sodium
This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol of sodium (23 mg) per
capsule, i.e. it is almost "sodium-free".

How should the medicine be taken?

Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

PACKAGE CONTENTS AND FURTHER INFORMATION

What Dr. Böhm Milk Thistle 140mg contain:

1 hard capsule contains 177.4-240.4 mg dry extract of milk thistle fruit (Silybi mariani extractum siccum raffinatum et normatum), DEV (drug extract ratio) 21-45:1, extraction agent acetone 95% V/V, corresponding to 140 mg silymarin (UV-VIS) or 108.2 mg silymarin (HPLC, calculated as silibinin).

The other ingredients are:
Mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, gelatine, purified water, sodium dodecyl sulphate, titanium dioxide (E-171), iron oxides (red, yellow, E-172).
