The indications are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures. These include: Tonsillitis and pharyngitis, chronic and chronic recurrent tonsillitis, enlargement of the adenoids (hyperplasia of the tonsils) in childhood and treatment after surgical removal of the tonsils.

The use of this homeopathic medicinal product in the above-mentioned indications is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.

In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.

Tonsiotren is a homeopathic combination remedy composed of various individual homeopathic remedies whose drug pictures complement each other.

The indications for use are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures. The following indications are authorised for this medicinal product:

• Tonsillitis and pharyngitis

• chronic and chronically recurring tonsillitis,
• Enlargement of the pharyngeal tonsils (hyperplasia of the tonsils) in childhood

• For alleviating discomfort after surgical removal of the tonsils.

The use of this homeopathic medicinal product in the above-mentioned indications is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.

This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.

If you feel better after 2-3 days (acute complaints), or 7 days (chronic
discomfort) do not feel better or even worse, consult your doctor.

What should you know before taking Tonsiotren?

Tonsiotren must not be taken
.- if you are allergic to Atropinum sulphuricum, Hepar sulphuris, Kalium bichromicum, Hydrargyrum biiodatum (Mercurius bijodatus), Acidum silicicum (Silicea) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
- Especially against chromium and mercury.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tonsiotren.
If symptoms persist, are unclear or new, if you have purulent tonsillitis, if your general condition is significantly affected or if you have a fever that lasts more than 3 days or is above 39°C, you should consult a doctor.

Do not use in thyroid disorders without medical advice.

First reactions may occur with the use of homeopathic medicinal products. Such reactions generally subside rapidly on their own.

Children

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Tonsiotren?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is
adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over:
for acute symptoms, 1-2 tablets every hour for the first 1-2 days until improvement occurs (max. 8 tablets daily). For subsequent treatment, 1-2 tablets 3 times daily.

Children from 6 years
For acute symptoms, 1 tablet every 2 hours for the first 1-2 days (max. 6 tablets daily). For subsequent treatment, 1 tablet 3 times daily.

For enlargement of the adenoids in childhood, 1 tablet 3 times daily is recommended. The duration of treatment should be at least 6-8 weeks.

In the case of chronically recurring tonsillitis, repeated treatments (e.g. several cures a year for 6-8 weeks each) have also proved successful.

If the symptoms improve, reduce the frequency of application.
