Locobase® Repair

Locobase Repair is particularly popular with many customers and has been used for generations for very dry and cracked skin and as a complementary skin care for atopic eczema. Several studies have proven the effectiveness of Locobase Repair as a skin care cream. It is suitable for many applications, for example for cheeks damaged by frost, chapped lips and dry areas all over the body. Locobase Repair has a skin-friendly pH value and contains the same lipids as are produced by the body. Of course, Alfason Repair is completely fragrance-free.

Locobase Repair with depth effect

Locobase Repair has a high fat content (63%) and contains a combination of skin-identical lipids that occur naturally in the skin barrier. These barrier lipids penetrate deep into the skin and accelerate the skin's own repair process.

If your skin is healthy, everything works as it should. The fat-producing cells take care of the horny layer (stratum corneum), which protects the subcutaneous tissue from evaporation and keeps your skin soft, smooth and intact. However, when the skin is dehydrated and damaged, the skin barrier does not function optimally. The water evaporates too quickly, a bit like in a sponge with holes. This leads to dry and cracked skin, redness, irritation and, in conjunction with inflammation, eczema.

Dry skin is a sign that the skin barrier is damaged and should be repaired as soon as possible. Locobase Repair has a double effect: it protects your skin while providing the amount of oil your skin barrier needs for fast and lasting regeneration. Locobase Repair has skin-identical barrier lipids that penetrate deep into the skin and are released when needed. It provides effective and long-lasting protection against dehydration, like a leather glove in cold and damp weather.

The effect of Locobase Repair begins immediately after application and lasts for up to 24 hours, so applying the cream once a day is usually enough to keep the skin soft, smooth and intact.

 

Locobase® Repair is suitable for use by adults and children

• for dry, scaly or cracked skin on hands, feet, legs, arms and other parts of the body.
• for highly stressed skin that is genetically susceptible to a weak skin barrier or is fundamentally sensitive
.
• As skin care in addition to or after treatment with a hydrocortisone cream.
• after laser treatment.

Application

Locobase® Repair is very economical

Applying just a small amount is enough to achieve a lasting effect. Use an amount that corresponds to the size of your little finger. Apply the cream to exposed areas at least once a day or more often if necessary. Locobase® Repair is effective for up to 24 hours. Apply the cream preferably at night, as it then has plenty of time to take effect.

Due to the special composition of Locobase® Repair, you may find the consistency to be firmer than you are used to. This enables a clean application and the cream can be quickly absorbed by the skin.

Note

• The application is especially recommended in cold weather. It is best to apply a generous amount of Locobase® Repair to the exposed skin areas 10 minutes before you leave the house. This way you protect your skin from dehydration and frostbite.
• Locobase® Repair is also excellent as a lip balm.
