The intestinal flora is built up and harmonised

.

The intestinal flora comprises the totality of microorganisms that colonise the intestine. A balanced ratio is important for digestion. It is particularly interesting for you to know: Babies only get the germs for their intestinal flora from their mothers when they are born. Subsequently, the early childhood intestinal colonisation of lactic acid and bifidobacteria is continuously built up during breastfeeding. The gradually developing intestinal flora helps the child with digestion. If more beneficial bacteria settle in the infant, this increases the intestinal balance.

Special features of caesarean births

After a caesarean birth, the infant unfortunately lacks the natural colonisation with intestinal bacteria from the mother. Therefore, mothers may wish to provide their child specifically with lactobacilli. Incidentally, this is also recommended by midwives, where various preparations with lactobacilli are well known.

The digestive system has yet to develop

.

Newborns still have a very immature gastrointestinal system. Organ functions and mucous membranes must first form in the child, their interaction must first be practised.

Application

1. Shake the bottle vigorously before each use until the sediment is evenly distributed. Hold the opened bottle at a 45° angle with the dropper pointing downwards and the drops will come off well.

2. 1 x a day, give your baby 5 drops of BiGaia® in a teaspoon of breast milk or water. Older children or adults should also take 5 drops with a spoon once a day.

3. Store the bottle at room temperature (approx. 25 degrees), not in the refrigerator; the drops have a shelf life of 90 days after opening. 5 drops contain at least 100 million colony-forming units (equivalent to the number of living germs).

4. Do not mix and take BiGaia® drops with hot foods as this may damage the lactic acid bacteria.

5. Think of eating L. reuteri as a holiday for your gut flora. There is no Zulange. But interruptions are also not good for relaxation. However, a sustainable recovery can hardly be expected after short-term consumption. This is only present after a proper settlement of the lactobacilli.

6. With the end of the intake, the cell count in the intestine decreases again after a few weeks to a similar value as before the intake.

7. As information good to know: BiGaia® is available without prescription at any pharmacy
