Fenivir is intended for the treatment of cold sores (herpes labialis).
Application
1. What is Fenivir and what is it used for?
Fenivir is used to treat cold sores (herpes labialis). Fever blisters are caused by a viral infection. The virus can remain inactive for a long time, but when it is activated, it multiplies and a fever blister develops. This can happen when you are tired and fatigued, when you have a cold or flu, or after intense sun exposure. The virus causes painful blisters on the lips.
Fenivir contains penciclovir as the active ingredient and is a medicine against viral infections that prevents the virus from multiplying. With Fenivir, your cold sores will heal faster and the duration of pain will be shorter. This will also shorten the time that your cold sore remains infectious, but using Fenivir will not prevent you from spreading your cold sore to other people.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days, contact your doctor.
If you do not feel better or worse after 4 days, contact your doctor.
