Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules are a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of emotional states which may be associated with loss of interest, depressed mood and listlessness.

John's wort has numerous ingredients which, when combined, have a mood-lifting and drive-increasing effect.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules are used for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 6 weeks, consult your doctor.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules are a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of mental mood disorders which may be associated with loss of interest, depressed mood and listlessness.

John's wort has numerous ingredients which, in their interaction, produce the mood-lifting and drive-increasing effect.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules are used for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 6 weeks, consult your doctor.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING DR. BÖHM JOHANNISKRAUT 425 MG - KAPSELN BEACHTEN?
Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules must not be taken,

• If you are allergic to St John's wort or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

• If you are being treated with one of the following medicines at the same time:

• Preparations taken after organ transplants
  (e. g. B. Ciclosporin, Tacrolimus)
• Preparations for the treatment of AIDS (e.g. Indinavir)
• Preparations for the treatment of cancer (e.g. irinotecan)
.
• Preparations for thinning the blood
.

Warnings and precautions.

Please talk to your pharmacist before taking Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules.

The active substance St. John's wort may make you more sensitive to sunlight while you are taking Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules. Therefore, you should avoid excessive sunbathing and the use of sunbeds or solariums.

Children and adolescents:
Since there is insufficient data, the use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.

Taking Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules together with other medicinal products

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using or have recently taken / used any other medicines, or if you are planning to take any other medicines.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules may be used Not to be taken at the same time as the following medicinal products, as it may weaken their effect (see also section "Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules must not be taken with

Special caution is advised with simultaneous use of medicines for the treatment of depression or anxiety, severe pain, migraine, increased blood lipids, cardiac insufficiency, prostate enlargement. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines.
Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules can influence the effectiveness of hormonal medicines for contraception (e.g. "birth control pill", implants for contraception such as Implanon or Nexplanon). Increased intermittent bleeding is possible, unwanted pregnancies have also been reported. Therefore, additional contraceptive measures should be used.

Before a planned operation, be sure to inform the attending doctors that you are taking Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Since there is insufficient data, intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
No corresponding studies have been carried out on the effect on the ability to drive a vehicle or operate machinery.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules may cause fatigue, this could adversely affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules contain lactose. Please therefore only take Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.

Note for diabetics: 1 capsule contains 0.0016 bread units (BE).

How should the medicine be taken?

How TO TAKE DR. BÖHM JOHANNISKRAUT 425 MG - CAPSULES TO TAKE?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 1 capsule daily

Administration in children and adolescents:
As there is insufficient data, use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

Method of administration:
Orally administered. The capsules are to be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid with meals.

Duration of use:
As the effect of the medicinal product builds up gradually during the first few days of use, Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg capsules should be taken consistently, with a period of at least 14 days being advisable. The onset of action can be expected within 4 weeks of treatment.

If the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement within 6 weeks, a doctor must be consulted.

If you have taken a larger amount of Dr. Böhm Johanniskraut 425 mg - Kapseln have taken a larger amount than you should,
In an individual case, epileptic seizures and confusion have been reported after a massive overdose of a medicinal product containing St. John's wort.

After taking a massive overdose, the skin should be protected from sunlight and other UV sources for 1-2 weeks.


If you have forgotten to take Dr. Böhm St. John's wort 425 mg - capsules,
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to take it before. Skip the forgotten tablet and take the next one at the correct time.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton (EXP) and blister (EXP). The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

What Dr. Böhm Johanniskraut 425 mg - Kapseln enthalten

The active ingredient is:
Dry extract of St. John's wort (Hyperici herba))

1 capsule contains:
425.00 mg dry extract of St. John's wort
(drug-extract ratio 3.5 - 6.0 : 1), corresponding to:
- minimum 25.5 mg flavonoids, calculated as rutoside
- 0.425-1.275 mg hypericins, calculated as hypericin
- maximum 25.5 mg hyperforin
Extractant: ethanol 60 % m/m

The other ingredients are:
capsule contents: Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate , highly dispersed silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, talc, cellulose powder, magnesium stearate
Capsule top: Gelatine, chlorophyllin-copper complex E 141, sodium dodecyl sulphate, purified water
Bottom of capsule: Titanium dioxide E 171, iron oxide yellow E 172, iron oxide red E 172, sodium dodecyl sulphate, purified water.
