The essential oils have a preventive effect on colds and flu-like infections as well as a supportive measure in the case of complaints resulting from colds and flu-like infections.

When used externally, Klosterfrau Melissengeist promotes blood circulation, relieves pain and relaxes the muscles under the skin.

Klosterfrau Melissengeist is a herbal medicinal product for use in:

Internally:

- Psychovegetative, nervous disorders such as:
Nervous complaints, states of tension and excitement, inner restlessness, nervousness, stage fright, difficulty in falling asleep, to promote readiness to sleep, for the treatment of

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before taking/using Klosterfrau Melissengeist?

Klosterfrau Melissengeist must not be taken/used
- if you are allergic to lemon balm, alanthine root, gentian root, pomeranum root, pomelialanthroot, gentian root, bitter orange peel, angelica root, ginger rhizome, cloves, galangal rhizome, cinnamon bark, cinnamon flowers, nutmeg, black pepper, cardamom or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. in the case of stomach and intestinal ulcers
- in the case of liver diseases
- in the case of alcoholism
- in the case of epilepsy
- in the case of brain damage
- Klosterfrau Melissengeist must not be used internally in children.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking/using Klosterfrau Melissengeist.

Losterfrau Melissengeist contains 79% ethanol (alcohol) by volume.
This alcohol content may impair the effect of other medicines.
This alcohol content may impair the ability to drive and operate machinery.

Internal use
The high alcohol content can cause discomfort such as heartburn, stomach pain, nausea and nausea even when taken diluted on an empty stomach. Klosterfrau Melissengeist should not be taken on an empty stomach.

External use
In patients with known allergies or skin problems, as well as the elderly and children, the arm flexion test should be carried out before starting therapy. For this purpose, the drug is dripped on the crook of the arm, left for one hour and the reaction observed. In case of redness, blistering or itching, Klosterfrau Melissengeist should not be used.

Accidental wetting of the eye should be avoided. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water for approx. 10 min.

On open wounds, the alcohol causes a slight burning sensation.
Alcohol dries out the skin if used frequently, moisturising treatment is recommended.

Children and adolescents
Klosterfrau Melissengeist must not be used internally by children and adolescents due to the high alcohol content.
Taking Klosterfrau Melissengeist with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, or if you are going to take or use any other medicines.
The alcohol content of Klosterfrau Melissengeist may impair the effect of other medicines.

The effect of sedatives may be increased. Especially when taking
Klosterfrau Melissengeist in higher doses at the same time, the effect of some medicines may be altered. It is recommended to keep an interval of 2 hours between taking Klosterfrau Melissengeist and other medicines.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using this medicine.

Do not take during pregnancy or when breast-feeding.

Driving and ability to operate machinery

Caution: This medicinal product may impair the ability to react and drive. Even when used as directed, this medicinal product may alter the ability to react to such an extent that the ability to actively participate in road traffic or to operate machinery is impaired.

Klosterfrau Melissengeist contains 79 % ethanol (alcohol) by volume, i.e. up to 6.2 g per dose, corresponding to 152 ml beer or 64 ml wine per dose.
This poses a health risk to patients suffering from alcoholism.
This should be considered in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take/use Klosterfrau Melissengeist?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Adults
Internal:
The medicine must be diluted according to the dosing schedule before taking.
Take 3 times 1 to 2 teaspoons (3 times 5 to 10 ml) of Klosterfrau Melissengeist diluted with at least twice the amount of liquid (water, juice, tea) after meals. The treatment should be continuous for at least seven days.

Externally
Undiluted or diluted up to twice the amount with water, apply to the painful areas and rub in. Use only on healthy skin!

There is no limit to the duration of use.

Application in children and adolescents
Klosterfrau Melissengeist must not be used internally in children and adolescents due to the high alcohol content. For external use, see adults.
If you have taken/used a larger amount of Klosterfrau Melissengeist than you should
If you have taken/used a larger amount of Klosterfrau Melissengeist than you should, please inform your doctor. The latter can decide on any necessary
measures. You may experience more of the side effects listed below.
