Tannosynt - Lotio is a tanning preparation with anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effects.
Tannosynt contains a special water-soluble tanning agent, which has a soothing effect on all inflammatory skin changes due to its astringent, tanning, scab-forming and vascular sealing effects.
Excessive sweat secretion is slowed down. The treatment of fungal infections is supported by removing the breeding ground for the germs. In addition, Tannosynt has anti-itching and drying properties.
Tannosynt Lotio is used for
- inflammatory, weeping and itching skin conditions e.g.. Nappy dermatitis (inflammation of the skin caused by wet nappies);
- Intertrigo (soreness in body folds);
- First degree burns (reddening of the skin without blistering);
- Itching especially in the genito-anal area;
- Excessive perspiration
as well as to support the local treatment of inflammatory fungal diseases.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before using Tannosynt - Lotio?

Tannosynt - Lotio must not be used
- if you are allergic to synthetic tanning agent, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and its esters (parabens E 214 - E 219), soya, peanut or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6,
- on the eye.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Tannosynt - Lotio.Tannosynt - Lotio is for external use only.

Tannosynt - Lotio has an eye irritant effect, so appropriate precautions are recommended. Tannosynt should not get into the eyes.
In case of eye contact, immediately rinse the eyes under running water for about 10 minutes and then consult an ophthalmologist.

Do not apply Tannosynt - Lotio to the hairy scalp, as weeping skin areas may cause the hair to stick together.

Make sure that Tannosynt - Lotio does not get into the hands of children. If you use Tannosynt - Lotio for the treatment of infants, do not leave the bottle on the changing table afterwards! Keep Tannosynt - Lotio tightly closed, out of the reach and sight of children.

Shake bottle before use.

First signs of side effects should be reported to the doctor.
If symptoms persist or if the expected benefit from use does not occur, seek medical advice as soon as possible!

Use of Tannosynt - Lotio together with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or intend to use any other medicines.

No interactions with other medicines are known so far.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
There are no objections to the use of Tannosynt - Lotio during pregnancy and breast-feeding, as the active substance is not absorbed into the body through the skin.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
No special precautions are necessary.

Tannosynt - Lotio contains methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate
Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate may cause hypersensitivity reactions, including tardive reactions.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Tannosynt - Lotio?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
For use on the skin.
The dosages and instructions for use apply to infants, toddlers, children and adults.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Tannosynt - Lotio is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once or twice a day after shaking the bottle vigorously. If necessary, more frequent use is possible.
Do not use Tannosynt - Lotio on the hairy scalp.
The use of Tannosynt - Lotio should be continued until the inflammatory skin symptoms, such as itching, burning and redness, have subsided. As a rule, an application period of one to two weeks is sufficient. If the symptoms have not improved after 14 days of regular use of Tannosynt - Lotio, or if symptoms occur again after completion of the treatment, a doctor should be consulted. When treating increased perspiration, Tannosynt - Lotio can also be used for a few weeks without consulting a doctor.

If you have used a larger amount of Tannosynt - Lotio than you should
After accidentally taking larger amounts of Tannosynt - Lotio, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may occur. In this case, drinking water is advisable.
After taking the lotion, contact the doctor who will decide on further therapeutic measures.

If you forget to use Tannosynt - Lotio
Do not use twice the amount if you have forgotten to use it before.

Contents of the pack and further information

What Tannosynt - Lotio contains:
The active substance is: phenol-methanal-urea polycondensate, sulphonated, sodium salt (synthetic tanning agent).
100 g suspension for application on the skin contain 1.0 g phenol methanal urea polycondensate, sulphonated, sodium salt (synthetic tanning agent).

The other ingredients are:
purified water, glycerol 85 %, zinc oxide, talc, polyoxyl (4)cetostearyl phosphate, lecithin, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, isopropyl alcohol, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (preservative), sodium carrageenate.

What Tannosynt - Lotio looks like and contents of the pack:
Tannosynt - Lotio is a white-beige, thick suspension.
Tannosynt - Lotio is available in plastic bottles made of white HDPE containing 100 g of suspension for
application on the skin.
