.Ingredients
N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide - DEET for short - has a high potency1 against a large number of parasites. This is why DEET has long been used as an active ingredient in synthetic repellents (mosquito repellents).
The benefits of DEET include:
◾Effectiveness
◾Long-lasting protection
◾Broad spectrum of action
DEET - the gold standard in insect protection
DEET's mosquito protection is based on the following mode of action: DEET blocks the general scent receptor of certain insects so that they can no longer perceive human scents. DEET disorients and confuses the ectoparasites.
This is the best prerequisite for safe and long-lasting protection.
With a DEET content of 30 percent, Anti Brumm® Forte reliably protects against mosquito bites for up to 6 hours*.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends DEET
DEET is one of the most effective mosquito repellents available today. DEET-based repellents such as Anti Brumm® Forte are suitable for mosquito protection during leisure time, sports and travel. For example, the WHO expressly recommends using a mosquito repellent with the active ingredient DEET to protect against dengue fever when travelling2.
And Stiftung Warentest also recommends (test 06/2014): When travelling, it is best to always pack an insect repellent from home in the first-aid kit - because products from other countries can conceal harmful active ingredients in higher concentrations.

Insect repellents - hazard labelling prescribed by law
Hazard labelling Time and again consumers are confused: What is the meaning of the danger symbol on the package of Anti Brumm® Forte? Are synthetic repellents dangerous for humans?
However, the explanation is based on a legal foundation: insect repellents belong to the group of so-called biocides. The depiction of a corresponding symbol is required by law in this context in order to ensure comprehensive consumer protection. Consumer protection, which can also be seen on Anti Brumm® products.
Anti Brumm® Forte (only available in pharmacies) has been dermatologically tested and has good skin compatibility. The proven repellent is suitable for children from 12 years of age.
