LACTRASE® 3.300 FCC CAPSULES

Lactrase^® contains the enzyme lactase. This breaks down lactose (milk sugar) into the usable nutrients glucose and galactose. For people who have problems digesting lactose, lactase improves lactose digestion.

Since there are differences in lactose tolerance, those affected should seek advice regarding the function of the substance in their diet. Food supplements should not be the sole source of nutrition. They are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet. A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake stated.

Lactrase ^® replaces/supplements the body's own enzyme lactase, which is missing in lactase deficiency, and thus usually enables the carefree enjoyment of foods and drinks containing lactose.

As a rule, 6000 FCC units of lactase allow the consumption of about 5 - 10 g of lactose. However, you should test individually which amount of Lactrase^® is sufficient for you. This depends in particular on the body's own lactase production and the amount of lactose contained in the meal.

Application

Capsules: 2 - 4 capsules just before or with each lactose-containing meal, but not more than 30 capsules (=99000 FCC units) per day. The capsule contents can also be added directly to food or drinks (below 50° C).

You should test out individually which amount of Lactrase® is sufficient for you. We recommend starting with two capsules or mini-tablets of Lactrase® 3300 or one capsule or mini-tablet of Lactrase® 6000 per 5g of lactose in the meal. You can find the lactose content of a variety of dairy products in this table. You can increase the number of capsules or mini-tablets without hesitation and according to your personal needs. If you want to consume a larger amount of lactose, e.g. a large glass of milk, a large latte or several scoops of ice cream with cream, or if you are already sensitive to small amounts of lactose, we recommend that you use Lactrase® 12000 or Lactrase® 18000. The capsules/tablets should be taken immediately before or with food or drink containing lactose. The capsules can also be opened and their contents added to food or drinks that are up to 50°C warm. This is particularly suitable for use by children. Simply squeeze the capsule gently and pull the two halves of the capsule apart at the same time.
