What are EUPHRASIA SINGLE DOS EYE DROPS WELEDA AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?
Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops Weleda belong to the homeopathic medicinal products of the anthroposophical therapeutic direction.
Euphrasia is a meadow flower popularly known as "eyebright".
The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures.
In accordance with the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature, this includes:

  • Mucosal inflammation of the eye associated with increased lacrimation (catarrhal inflammation),

  • Swelling of the eyelid due to fluid retention (eyelid oedema), also due to allergic reactions.
The use of this homeopathic medicinal product in the aforementioned

What are Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops and what are they used for?

Euphrasia D3 eye drops are a homeopathic medicinal speciality of the anthroposophical therapeutic direction.
Euphrasia is a meadow flower which is also popularly known as "eyebright".
The indications for use are derived from the homeopathic remedy pictures and the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature.
The following indications are approved for this medicinal product:

  • Catarrhal inflammation of the eye associated with increased lacrimation
  • .
  • Edema of the eyelids, also due to allergic reactions
  • .
The use of this homeopathic medicinal product of the anthroposophical therapeutic direction in the above-mentioned indications is based exclusively on anthroposophical experience.
In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 2-3 days, consult your doctor.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you bear in mind before using Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops?

Euphrasia D3 Single-Dose Eye Drops must not be used
if you are allergic to Euphrasia (eyebright) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in
Section 6.

Warnings and precautions
If there is severe pain around the eyes, purulent secretion or a sudden decrease in vision, seek urgent medical advice.

When homeopathic medicinal products are used, the existing complaints may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such reactions are mostly harmless. If the symptoms do not improve, the medicine should be discontinued. After the initial reaction has subsided, the medicine can be used again. If the symptoms intensify again, the remedy should be discontinued.

Any prolonged treatment with a homeopathic remedy should be checked by a doctor experienced in homeopathy, as adverse drug test symptoms (new symptoms) may occur if the remedy is not used as indicated.

Note for contact lens wearers:
You should generally not wear contact lenses in the case of inflammatory diseases of the eye so as not to aggravate the inflammation.
Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops are compatible with contact lenses.
Some contact lens manufacturers recommend that you generally take the lenses out before using eye drops and only put them back in after about 30 minutes. This recommendation, which may be related to certain lens material, should then be followed.

Children
Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops should only be used in children under 2 years of age after consultation with the doctor, as there is insufficient experience to date for a general recommendation for this age group.

Use of Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops together with other medicinal products
No interactions with other medicinal products are known.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or intend to use any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Data on use during pregnancy and breast-feeding are not available.
There is no evidence to date of any possible risks from the use of Euphrasia D3 single dose eye drops during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Driving and ability to operate machinery

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet
or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults, adolescents and children:
Drop 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 times a day
Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops should only be used in children under 2 years of age after consulting a doctor, as there is insufficient experience to date to make a general recommendation for this age group.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 2-3 days, consult your doctor.

For use on the eye.

Instructions for use:

1. Use a new single-dose container for each application to ensure sterile use.
2. Wash your hands before use.
3. Separate a single-dose container from the pad (Fig. 1).
4. Grasp the labelled side with one hand and open the unit dose container with the other hand by turning the cap (Fig. 2).
5. Do not touch the outlet opening with your hand or eye.
6. Tilt your head back and hold the dropper container vertically over your eye. By pressing lightly on the dropper, drop 1 drop into the conjunctival sac (Fig. 3).
7. After opening and using the single-dose container, dispose of any remaining residue.

Do not store above 25°C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the single-dose container and the folded box after Use by:. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Unopened single-dose containers must not be reused and must therefore be discarded after first use.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

The other ingredients are: Sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, ethanol in traces.

What Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops look like and contents of the pack
Euphrasia D3 single-dose eye drops are clear, colourless to slightly yellowish or brownish eye drops.

Pack sizes: 5, 10 or 20 single-dose vials of 0.4 ml each in a folding carton.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
