- if you are allergic to thyme, marshmallow, any other member of the mint family or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. other ingredients of this medicinal product.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup.
In case of fever, shortness of breath or purulent sputum, consult a doctor.

Children
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data and medical advice should be sought. Taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrupwith other medicines Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicines are known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The alcohol content must be taken into account for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Since there are insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
No studies have been conducted on the effects on driving and ability to operate machinery.

BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup contains ethanol, sucrose, .glucose, fructose, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate
- This medicinal product contains 285 mg ethanol per 5 ml. The alcohol content of a single dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is equivalent to 14.36 ml of beer and 5.98 ml of wine. The alcohol content of a single dose for children aged 4-12 years is equivalent to 7.18 ml of beer and 2.99 ml of wine. (see "Special care is required when taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup").
There is a health risk for patients suffering from alcoholism.
The alcohol content must be taken into account in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

- This medicinal product contains 1.75 g sucrose and 15.3 mg fructose per 5 ml, corresponding to approx. 0.15 bread units (BE). This must be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus. Talk to your doctor before taking/giving this medicine if your doctor has told you that you (or your child) have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) - a rare congenital condition in which fructose cannot be broken down.

- BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup contains methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (preservatives). These can cause allergic reactions, which may also occur later (see "BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup must not be used").

How should the medicine be taken?

How should BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrupbe taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.



The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older:
10 ml every 3 hours up to 6 times daily, total daily dose up to 60 ml.
Children from 4-11 years:
5 ml every 3 hours up to 6 times daily, total daily dose up to 30 ml.

Use in children under 4 years
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data and medical advice should be sought.

How to use
Ingestion.
Take BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup undiluted by pouring the dose given above into the measuring cup provided. The measuring cup has a scale
between 2.5 ml and 20 ml.
You can also drink BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup diluted in water or warm tea if necessary.

Duration of use
If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

If you have taken a larger amount of BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup
.strong>than you should
If you have considerably overdosed this medicine, symptoms known as side effects may increase. In this case, please inform your doctor. The latter can decide on any measures that may be necessary.

If you have forgotten to take BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What are the possible side effects?

How to store BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup?

No special storage conditions are required for the unopened medicinal product with regard to temperature. Do not store above 25 °C after first opening.
Store the bottle in its original packaging to protect the contents from light.
Reseal the bottle well after use.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use the medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the label and outer carton after "Use by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Use the contents within 4 weeks after opening.
Do not dispose of this medicine in sewage or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

- The active ingredients are:
5 ml (= 5.7 g) contain:
0.77 g thyme liquid extract (Thymi herba, drug extract ratio (DEV) 1:2-2.5, extraction agent: mixture of ethanol 90% (v/v):ammonia solution 10%:glycerol 85%:water for extraction purposes in the ratio 35:0.5:10:54.5)
0.66 g marshmallow root liquid extract (Althaeae radix, drug extract ratio (DEV) 1:20, extractant water)
- The other ingredients are:
Raspberry juice concentrate (contains sucrose, glucose and fructose), ascorbic acid, ethanol, sucrose, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, purified water.

What BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syruplooks like and contents of the pack

.em>BRONCHOSTOP Cough Syrup is a brown-red, thick oral solution with a characteristic smell and taste of thyme and raspberries. It is available in amber glass bottles with original sealed screw cap of 150 ml.
The enclosed measuring cup with a scale between 2.5 ml and 20 ml facilitates precise dosing of the recommended amount.


Flocations may occur, which may also appear as sediment or as a deposit on the inside of the screw cap. These flocculations have no influence on the efficacy or quality of the medicinal product.
