What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before taking Original Schwedenbitter Riviera?
Original Schwedenbitter Riviera must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
- if you are or have been dependent on alcohol.
- if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers.
- by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
- if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) or Apiaceae (Labiatae, e.g. celery) family.e.g. celery).
- if you have a blockage of the bile duct, infections of the bile duct, liver disease, gallstones or intestinal obstructions.
- if you are allergic to Peru Balsam.

Children and adolescents
Original Schwedenbitter Riviera must not be given to children and adolescents under 18 years of age because of the alcohol content.

Taking Original Schwedenbitter Riviera with other medicinesInform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.
No interaction studies have been carried out. However, the alcohol content of Original Schwedenbitter Riviera may impair or increase the effect of other medicines.

Taking Original Schwedenbitter Riviera with food, drink and alcohol
Original Schwedenbitter Riviera can be taken with meals and drinks.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or
intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended due to the alcohol content.

Driving and ability to operate machinery

Caution: This medicinal product may impair the ability to react and
drive.


Original Schwedenbitter Riviera contains ethanol (alcohol)
This medicinal product contains 38% ethanol (alcohol) by volume, i.e. up to 1.5 g per dose, corresponding to 37.5 ml beer, 15 ml wine per dose.
Health risk for patients suffering from alcoholism.
The alcohol content should be taken into account in pregnant or nursing mothers as well as in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Original Schwedenbitter Riviera?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is 5 ml of Original Swedish Bitters Riviera 2-3 times a day.
To be taken undiluted or diluted in a little tea or water using the measuring cup provided.
The maximum duration of a treatment cycle is 7 days.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Treatment with Original Swedish Bitters Riviera should be limited to about 2 months per year.

Use in children and adolescents
Due to the alcohol content, Original Schwedenbitter Riviera must not be taken by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

If you have taken a larger amount of Original Swedish Bitters Riviera than
you should
If you have accidentally taken twice or three times the intended dosage
there are usually no adverse consequences.
In this case, continue taking the medicine as described in the dosage instructions
or as prescribed by your doctor.
If you have significantly overdosed on this medicine, nausea and vomiting
may occur. In this case, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor.

If you forget to take Original Swedish Bitters Riviera
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

What are the possible side effects?

How should Original Swedish Bitters Riviera be stored?

No special storage conditions are required for the unopened medicinal product.
Do not store above 25°C after first opening.
Shelf life after first opening: 1 year.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

You must not use this medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the outer carton and container after "Use by:" and "Used by:" respectively. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

Special instructions for storage

Keep out of the reach of children.

You must not use the medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the outer carton.
No longer than 12 months after first opening.

Clouding may occur with this product, but this does not affect the effect.
