What should you pay attention to before taking it?

Passedan must not be taken
- if you are allergic to passionflower herb or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. other ingredients mentioned in section 6 of this medicine.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your pharmacist before taking Passedan.

Children
As there are insufficient data, the use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.

Taking Passedan with other medicines
The effect of centrally depressant (sedative) medicines may be enhanced by the alcohol contained in Passedan when taken at the same time. Concurrent use must only be done on the advice of a doctor.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.

Taking Passedan with food, drink and alcohol
Taking food and drink, except alcohol, together with Passedan does not affect the effectiveness of the medicine.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
Since insufficient data are available, use during pregnancy and lactation cannot be recommended.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist
for advice before taking this medicine.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
Passedan has a minor to moderate effect on driving and ability to operate machinery. Impaired patients must not drive or operate machinery.
Please note the alcohol content of 50 wt.%.

Passedan contains alcohol
This medicinal product contains 50 % ethanol (alcohol) by weight, i.e. up to 385 mg per dose, corresponding to 10 ml beer, 4 ml wine per dose.

A health risk exists for patients suffering from alcoholism. The alcohol content should be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Passedan?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:

For nervous restlessness:
Adults: take 20 drops 3 to 5 times daily.
(On the doctor's recommendation, the amount taken can be increased up to three times).Adolescents aged 12 and over: take 20 drops 3 times a day

For difficulty falling asleep:
Adults: take 20 drops after dinner and 30 drops before going to bed.Adolescents aged 12 and over: take 20 drops after dinner and 20 drops before going to bed.

Use in children:
As there is insufficient data, use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.

The drops are taken undiluted or diluted with a little water (approx. 50 ml).

If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 3 weeks, then you must consult a doctor in any case.

If you have taken more Passedan than you should
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.
In case of extreme overdose, the known alcohol effects occur.

The alcohol content of 50 wt. % should be taken into account.
Accidental ingestion of the entire bottle contents of 30 (100) ml will result in 14 g (46 g) of alcohol.

This can lead to alcohol poisoning, especially in young children.

If you forget to take Passedan
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to take it before.

If you stop taking Passedan
no serious symptoms will occur.

If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What are the possible side effects?

How to store Passedan?

Do not store above 25°C.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date "EXP" which is stated on the carton and label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Once the container has been opened, do not use the medicine for more than 1 year.

Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Passedan contains.

The active substance is passionflower herb
100 g contain 50 g of a liquid extract of passionflower herb (Passiflorae herba), (extractant: Ethanol 54 wt.-%, glycerol 4 wt.% DEV 1:3.8-4.3)

1 ml = 0.9 g,
0.83 ml = 0.77 g corresponds to approx. 20 drops
Alcohol content: approx. 50 wt.% ethanol

The other ingredients are: Glycerine, ethanol, saccharin sodium, orange peel, cinnamon bark, lemon balm leaves, purified water

What Passedan looks like and contents of the pack
Passedan is a greenish-brownish clear liquid and is available in packs of 30 ml and 100 ml solution.
Herbal extracts in drop form may tend to become cloudy after a long period of time, but this does not affect the effectiveness.
Passedan is a natural product, so slight variations in colour and taste may occur.
