Valerriparan for Nighttime must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to valerian root or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

Children
The use of valeriparan for nighttime use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended because there are insufficient data.

Taking Baldriparan for Nighttime with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.
The combination with synthetic sedatives requires medical diagnosis and monitoring.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

As there are no data on the use of valeriparan for night-time use during pregnancy and breast-feeding, its use during this period is not recommended.

Driving and ability to operate machinery

Caution: This medicinal product may impair the ability to react and drive.
Affected persons should not take an active part in road traffic, operate machinery or carry out or participate in dangerous activities.

Baldriparan for night use contains sucrose
This medicinal product contains sucrose. Please only take valeriparan for night-time use after
consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from a sugar intolerance.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take valeriparan at night?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Use in adults, elderly persons and adolescents aged 12 years and over
The recommended dose is 1 coated tablet half an hour to an hour before bedtime and one dose earlier in the evening if needed.

Use in children
The use of valeriparan for nighttime use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended as insufficient data are available.

Method of use
Take the tablets unchewed with plenty of liquid (preferably with a glass of water). The tablets can be taken with or without meals.

Due to the gradual onset of action, the use of valerian root is not suitable for the acute treatment of mild restlessness and sleep disorders.
In order to achieve optimal treatment success, continuous intake over 2 - 4 weeks is recommended.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 14 days, consult your doctor.

If you have taken a larger amount of valeriparan for night use than you shouldIf you accidentally take 1 coated tablet too many than you should, this will not usually have any adverse effects. Continue to take valerriparan for night as stated in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor.

If you take a massive overdose of this medicine (6 or more coated tablets) you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Signs of overdose may include:
fatigue, abdominal cramps, tightness in the chest, drowsiness, trembling of the hands and dilatation of the pupils (mydriasis).

If you forget to take valeriparan for night
Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.
Continue to take valerriparan for night as stated in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor.

Contents of the pack and other information

What valeriparan contains for the night
- The active substance is: dry extract of valerian root. Each coated tablet contains 441.35 mg extract (as dry extract) of Valeriana officinalis L., s.l., Radix (corresponding to 2.65 g - 3.27 g valerian root). Extracting agent: ethanol 70% V/V.
- The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin and microcrystalline cellulose.
Tablet coating: calcium carbonate, carnauba wax, indigo carmine (E132), macrogol 6000, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, povidone K 25, refined castor oil, shellac, Arabic gum, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171) and bleached beeswax.

What valeriparan for night looks like and contents of the pack
Baldriparan for night are light blue, round coated tablets, domed on both sides, with a diameter of approx. 12.4 mm and a height of approximately 7.5 mm.

PVC/PVdC/aluminium blister packs containing 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 coated tablets.

Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
