Aunt Fanny Fresh Tarte bases 340g
The Tante Fanny fresh tarte bases in the original Alsatian style do not need any yeast at all. The crispy, thin base can be topped with both savoury and sweet to your own taste. Baked in the old tradition, at a high heat of 250 - 270° C and without baking paper directly on the baking tray, the fresh tarte bases become particularly crispy. Aunt Fanny - Fannytastically simple!
Recipe idea - Original Alsatian tarte flambée gratinée
Ingredients for 4 tarte bases:
- 1 Pkg. Aunt Fanny Fresh tarte bases original Alsatian style 340 g
- 240 g Crème fraîche
- 160 g belly bacon cut into fine sticks
- 120 g (1 pc) onion peeled, halved, finely sliced .
- 80 g Emmentaler grated
- pepper ground
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat oven to 270° C top/bottom heat and process tarte bases directly from the refrigerator.
Step 2: Place two bases next to each other without baking paper on a baking tray.
Step 3: Spread ¼ of the crème fraîche on each tarte base, leaving a 1 cm border all round.
Step 4: Top each base evenly with ¼ of the onion and the bacon and sprinkle with ¼ of the Emmentaler.
Step 5: Put one baking tray at a time in the oven and bake the tarte flambée on the lowest rack for 7 - 9 min. until crispy.
Step 6: Season with pepper to taste.
Tip: The original Alsatian tarte flambée uses pancetta. Depending on your taste, you can also try other types of bacon.
