Double Barrel (Irish Whiskey, 42%)
Single Malt, Irish Whiskey is first aged for 3 years in a Bourbon barrel and then for 6 months in an Oloroso Sherry barrel. The combination of the two barrels and the mild, maritime Irish climate give the Double Barrel its exceptional flavor profile.
Serving suggestion: neat (at room temperature, or on ice), Irish Mule with ginger beer or ginger ale and freshly squeezed lime juice.
About the brand:
Glendalough (Irish for "The Valley of the Two Lakes") is a craft distillery in the Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin. Following the example of St. Kevin, whose image can be seen on every bottle, "stand apart" has been defined as the brand's core. This is expressed in the bottle design, as well as in the use of hand-picked botanicals for the gin, as well as special barrels for the aging of the whiskeys.
Storage conditions: Cool and protected from light
