Optiderm Oily Cream is a medicinal product for the supportive treatment of skin disorders with itching and skin dryness.

Optiderm Oily Cream contains 2 active ingredients, urea and polidocanol.

Urea is a substance that is also found in the skin as a component of the natural moisturising factors.

Urea increases the water-binding capacity of the horny layer; in addition, antibacterial, antipruritic and slightly anaesthetic effects are attributed to this substance, among others. Urea is non-allergenic.Polidocanol, a surface anaesthetic, has analgesic and antipruritic effects. The local tolerance of polidocanol is good.

Thanks to the combination of these two active ingredients, Optiderm Oily Cream has significant pain and itch-relieving properties.
It also significantly increases the moisture content of the skin.

In addition, Optiderm Fat Cream has the effect of significantly re-fattening the skin and thus reducing skin roughness. If the skin does not require pronounced re-fatting, Optiderm cream is available for you.

Optiderm Grease Cream is used
- to moisturise the horny layer
- to lubricate and relieve itching as a supportive treatment for skin diseases with very dry and/or itchy skin such as e.g. atopic eczema (neurodermatitis) or when the skin is damaged by dehydration.e.g. atopic eczema (neurodermatitis) or when the skin is damaged by dehydration, caused e.g. by washing-up liquids and detergents (exsiccation eczema)
- for further and follow-up treatment of the aforementioned skin diseases.

- for further and follow-up treatment of the aforementioned skin diseases.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before using Optiderm Fat Cream?
Optiderm Fat Cream must not be used

• If you are allergic to urea, polidocanol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

• If your skin is red and scaly all over your body (erythroderma)
.
• if your skin is inflamed, oozing and you have a skin infection.

Warnings and precautions.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Optiderm fat cream.

- Do not bring Optiderm Grease Cream into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.
If used on inflamed or injured skin areas, skin irritations (e.g. reddening of the skin, burning) are possible (see also point 4 "What side effects are possible?").
- If you suffer from a pronounced kidney dysfunction, you should
Optiderm grease cream should not be applied over large areas.

Children
Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of urea-containing products in children can lead to a burning sensation on the skin, usually for a short time.
Please consult with your doctor before using Use Optiderm Fat Cream on children.

Do not apply any other medicines or cosmetics to the same areas of skin during treatment with Optiderm fat cream, as the absorption of other active ingredients (e.g. corticoids, dithranol, 5-fluorouracil) may be increased.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking or using any medicine.
Risks associated with the use of Optiderm fat cream during pregnancy and breastfeeding are not known. However, Optiderm fat cream should not be used in the breast area during breastfeeding.

Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
No special precautions are necessary.

Optiderm Fat Cream contains cetyl alcoholOptiderm Fat Cream contains the other ingredient cetyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).

How should the medicine be taken?

How should Optiderm Fat Cream be used?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.... Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
For use on the skin.

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, apply Optiderm Fat Cream evenly thinly to the skin twice daily.

The duration of treatment depends on the improvement that has occurred and is generally 3 weeks.

If the skin dryness persists, you can also continue the treatment for a longer period after consulting a doctor.
If you have any further questions on the use of the medicinal product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What Optiderm Oily Cream contains

The active ingredients are urea and polidocanol.
100 g cream contains 5 g urea and 3 g polidocanol.

The other ingredients are:
Medium chain triglycerides, thick paraffin, isopropyl palmitate,
Cetyl alcohol, polyoxyethylene-21-stearyl ether, polyoxyethylene-2-stearyl ether, <.br>1,3 butylene glycol, sodium lactate solution, lactic acid, disodium edetate,
purified water.
