Pittnauer Gerhard Zweigelt Heideboden 2018

Red wine 12.5% vol.

This still young Zweigelt Heideboden perfectly reflects its origin and was organically vinified. After six months of ageing in large wooden barrels, this wine shows its full ability in the glass. Dark purple colour, warm cherry soft fruit on the nose and very juicy on the palate. On the finish, soft tannin with an animating drinking flow that calls for a second sip.

Brigitte and Gerhard Pittnauer are among the founders of the Pannobile Group. Biodynamic viticulture and the renunciation of pure culture yeasts, enzymes or massive use of wood is a matter of course for the trendsetters. The results are lively wines with individual stylistics. Besides, there is hardly such a cool couple that radiates as much warmth. In 2014, the winery was named Falstaff Winemaker of the Year!
