Blackberries

Blackberries are a section of the large and widely distributed plant genus Rubus within the family of Rosaceae. The section includes several thousand species, with more than 2000 species described in Europe alone.

Storage recommendation

Berries have a short shelf life. They stay fresh the longest when stored consistently cool and dry, ideally unwashed in a shallow container in the refrigerator. It is important to make sure that they do not lie in their own juice or in condensation water, as this promotes mold formation.
