Dioscomb is a medicine for the protection of blood vessels (vasoprotector). It increases venous tone and the resistance of small blood vessels. Dioscomb is used in adults: for the treatment of symptoms associated with chronic venous disease of the legs: feeling of heaviness in the legs, swollen legs, pain, nocturnal leg cramps. for the treatment of functional symptoms associated with acute hemorrhoidal symptoms, such as pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal region.What is Dioscomb and what is it used for? Dioscomb is a medicine for the protection of blood vessels (vasoprotector). It increases venous tone and the resistance of small blood vessels. Dioscomb is used in adults: for the treatment of symptoms associated with chronic venous disease of the legs: feeling of heaviness in the legs, swollen legs, pain, nocturnal leg cramps. for the treatment of functional symptoms associated with acute hemorrhoidal symptoms, such as pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal region.
Application
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Chronic venous disease (venous insufficiency):
The recommended dose for adults is two film-coated tablets daily, preferably one film-coated tablet at lunchtime and one film-coated tablet in the evening with meals.
Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or even worse after 6 weeks if you are taking Dioscomb to treat the symptoms of chronic venous disease.
If you need to continue taking Dioscomb, the duration of your treatment will be decided by your doctor. Acute hemorrhoidal symptoms:
The recommended dose for adults for the first 4 days of treatment is 3 film-coated tablets twice a day (6 tablets per day). For the following 3 days, the dose is 2 film-coated tablets twice a day (4 tablets per day). The maintenance dose is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day. The film-coated tablets should be taken with meals.
For this indication, you should only take Dioscomb for a limited period of 15 days.
If you are taking Dioscomb to treat symptoms of acute hemorrhoidal disease, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days.
The score line is only to divide the film-coated tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole.
Note
If you have taken more Dioscomb than you should
If you have taken more film-coated tablets than you should, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. No cases of overdose with Dioscomb have been reported to date.
If you forget to take Dioscomb
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
