Normhydral is used to treat acute diarrhoea with or without vomiting in adolescents and adults.

Application

What is Normhydral and what is it used for?

Normhydral is used for the treatment of acute diarrhoea with and without vomiting in adolescents and adults.
Normhydral is a combination of electrolytes and dextrose (glucose) composed according to international recommendations to compensate for the electrolyte and fluid losses caused by diarrhoea and vomiting.
The ready-prepared drinking solution restores the important electrolytes sodium and potassium to the organism. Dextrose improves sodium absorption, which also increases the necessary water intake. Citrate prevents acidification of the blood, which is possible with diarrhoea.
