What is Dentinox Teething Gel and what is it used for?Dentinox Teething Gel is a gel that is applied to the teeth and helps the teeth to come through.
Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid is used for pain and the first signs of incipient teething, as well as for the eruption of the first teeth and the resulting gingivitis and irritation.
Dentinox gel contains herbal ingredients from camomile as well as local painkilling active ingredients in concentrations suitable for infants and children.
Preventive use results in painless and complication-free eruption of the first teeth and the entire milk dentition as well as the molars. Irritation of the gums and excessive salivation are largely prevented by the use of Dentinox Gel Teething Aid.

Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid is a gel to be applied to the tooth bar and helps with the passage of the little teeth.
Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid is used for pain and the first signs of incipient teething as well as when the first little teeth erupt and gum inflammation and irritation caused by this.
Dentinox gel contains, in addition to the herbal ingredients from chamomile, locally analgesic active ingredients in concentrations suitable for infants and children.
Preventive use causes the first teeth and the entire milk dentition as well as the molars to erupt without pain or complications. Irritation of the gums and excessive salivation are largely avoided by using Dentinox Gel Teething Aid.
What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What should you bear in mind before using Dentionox Gel Teething Aid?
Dentinox Gel must not be used,
- If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to camomile or other composite flowers, lidocaine or related local anaesthetics (local anaesthetics of the amide type), polidocanol 600 (macrogollauryl ether) or any of the other ingredients of Dentinox gel.
- Please only take Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from a sugar intolerance. (see also Important information about certain other ingredients of Dentinox Gel Teething Aid) .
- If the complaints persist or if the expected success through the application does not occur, a medical consultation is required at the earliest.
- Dentinox Gel Teething Aid only apply, do not ingest!
- Avoid contact with eyes .
- Use Dentinox -Gel teething aid with caution in case of mucosal injuries in the
area of application that exceed the normal level during teething, as there could be an increased absorption of lidocaine into the bloodstream through the injured areas.
No interactions with other medicines are known. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using, have recently taken / used, or might take / use any other medicines.

Since this medicinal product is a preparation for infants and children, there is no reference to pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Important information about certain other ingredients of Dentinox Gel Teething Aid.
10g gel contains 1g sorbitol, which is equivalent to 0.25g fructose, corresponding to less than 0.1 bread units.
When applied to the oral mucosa, local irritation is possible due to the propylene glycol content.
This medicine contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per dose, due to the active ingredient chamomile tincture, which is produced by extraction with ethanol.
Sugar-free The gel is made with the caries-neutral sugar substitutes xylitol and sorbitol and is therefore free from tooth-damaging sugar.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to use Dentinox Gel Teething Aid?
Always use Dentinox Gel Teething Aid exactly as instructed in this leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
At the first sign of teething starting, apply a pea-sized piece of Dentinox Gel Teething Aid with a clean finger or clean cotton swab to the affected area of the tooth line and massage in gently. The treatment should be repeated 2 - 3 times a day, especially after meals and before going to sleep.
Duration of use:
Dentinox Gel Teething Aid is used as needed. It can continue until all milk teeth as well as the cheek teeth have passed through.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Dentinox-Gel Teething Aid is too strong or too weak.
If you have used a larger amount of Dentinox-Gel than you should
the side effects may increase (see also What side effects may occur?). If this happens, please discontinue Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid and consult a doctor.
Cases of overdose or poisoning with lidocaine have not been reported for Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid. Since the dosage of the active ingredient is designed to have a local effect on the dental arch, overdoses are not to be feared when used as directed.
Inadvertent ingestion of a large amount of lidocaine (equivalent to the contents of at least one whole pack of the medicinal product) may cause abdominal pain and nausea. Only after Dentinox - Gel Teething Aid 941.371 GI
Ingestion of very high doses of lidocaine (corresponding to the contents of several packs of the medicinal product), moreover, clouding of consciousness, cardiovascular failure, convulsions and breathing problems may occur.
If you suspect an overdose, please notify your doctor. The doctor can decide on any necessary measures according to the severity of the poisoning.
If you forget to use Dentinox Gel Teething Aid
Do not use twice the amount of Dentinox Gel Teething Aid if you have forgotten to use it before.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

150 mg camomile tincture, 3.4 mg lidocaine hydrochloride 1 H2O, 3.2 mg polidocanol 600 (macrogollauryl ether)
The other ingredients are:
1g Dentinox- Gel Teething Aid contains:
Propylene glycol, sodium edetate, 90 mg xylitol, 100 mg sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystalline), 2 mg sodium saccharin, carbomer 974 P, sodium hydroxide (solution 10%), polysorbate 20, menthol, purified water.
10g gel contains 1g sorbitol, equivalent to 0.25g fructose, corresponding to less than 0.1 bread units.
