Kaloba 20mg is a herbal medicinal product made from Pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix)(Capeland Pelargonium) for the symptomatic treatment of acute bronchial infections with cough and mucus production.

Kaloba 20mg is a herbal medicinal product made from pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix)(Capeland pelargonium) for the symptomatic treatment of acute bronchial infections with cough and mucus production.
This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What you should be aware of before taking Kaloba 20 mg?
Kaloba 20 mg must not be taken,
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to pelargonium or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. if you suffer from severe liver disease.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Kaloba 20 mg.
If you have a fever, shortness of breath or bloody sputum, or if you notice any signs of liver dysfunction (e.g. yellowing of the white skin of the eyes or skin), you must consult a doctor.
Children
Kaloba 20 mg Film-Coated Tablets is not suitable for children under 6 years of age because of the dosage form. For children aged 1-6 years, Kaloba oral drops or Kaloba syrup are available.
Take Kaloba 20 mg with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using,have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.
There are no known interactions.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist
for advice before taking this medicine.
To date, there is no or very limited experience (less than 300 pregnancy outcomes) with the use of this medicine in pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers.
For precautionary reasons, the use of Kaloba should be avoided during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Trafficability and ability to operate machinery
No studies have been conducted on the effects on trafficability and ability to operate machinery.
Kaloba contains 20 mg lactose monohydrate (milk sugar)
Kaloba contains 20 mg lactose monohydrate (milk sugar) per film-coated tablet. Please only take Kaloba 20 mg after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from a sugar intolerance.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Kaloba 20 mg?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day
Children aged 6-11 years: 2 times daily 1 film-coated tablet
Kaloba 20 mg Film-Coated Tablets is not suitable for children under 6 years of age due to the dosage form. For children aged 1-6 years, Kaloba oral drops or Kaloba syrup are available.
Method of use
To be taken.
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole at morning, noon and night with an adequate amount ofliquid.
Duration of use
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.
It is recommended to continue treatment for several days after the symptoms of the disease have subsided in order to avoid a relapse.
Use in children
Kaloba 20 mg Film-Coated Tablets is not suitable for children under 6 years of age due to the dosage form.
If you have taken a larger amount of Kaloba 20 mg than you should
There are no known cases of overdose.
If you forget to take Kaloba 20 mg
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.
If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

How to store Kaloba 20 mg?
No special storage conditions are required for this medicine.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Kaloba 20 mg contains
The active substance is:
Dry extract of Pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix) (drug extract ratio (DEV) 4 - 25 : 1) (EPs® 7630). The extraction agent is ethanol 11% (m/m).
1 film-coated tablet contains 20 mg dry extract of Pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix).
The other ingredients are:
Maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, precipitated silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 1500, iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide red (E 172), titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, simeticone, methyl cellulose, sorbic acid.
What Kaloba 20 mg looks like and contents of the pack
Kaloba 20 mg is a reddish-brown, round film-coated tablet, sealed in PVC/PVDC aluminium blister packs. Pack sizes: 21, 42 and 63 film-coated tablets. Not all pack sizes may be placed on the market.
